I wonder whether people are so happy that their favourite characters exist that they are willing to overlook how its barely half a step up from transformers, or whether they really do like the spectacle.

That's a high Victorian physical profile. Needs a beard for that neck, a cummerbund from some kind of nautical wholesaler, and a gigantic coat. Bit more volume in the hair, too.
