Think there will be some dodgy teams in the qualifiers. Atletico? Valencia? Napoli?
Hopefully we get a good draw

Don't think he's started a game yet.

Lol, like the other big teams in the PL did?
Serie A is a joke. (love Napoli and Lazio though)

Valencia, Roma, Leverkusen... a few more I'd imagine.
By Jburton Go To PostSorely missed in the CL, these other PL teams are shit in Europe. You haven't been missed at all. There is nothing, nothing, to suggest that you'd have made a mark in it either.
Scousers made such a big deal about CL last year and couldn't be Ludogorets!
One win in eight games Vs. the top four is the tale of the tape for LFC this year.
Gerrard looks mentally drained in this Sky interview. Best of luck to him.

Still worth a rewatch. Beckford must be on drugs.

They are gonna be some nervous games
Fc Copenhagen.

Played well against the majority of big clubs we've played this season. Poor against Arsenal twice and that's it really. Better than Spurs and yourselves twice. Did alright against Chelsea, played well against City twice. Might have done okay against the big clubs.
By Killer7 Go To PostThink there will be some dodgy teams in the qualifiers. Atletico? Valencia? Napoli?

You can't draw those teams. It'll always be teams like Ajax, Club Brugge, Dnjepr, Besiktas or even worse.
By Vivalabanter Go To PostCuadrado really just did not give a fuck in his 10 minutes.Had one dribble against, I believe Lucas, and turned it over. And then was mugged off the ball in our own box by Glen Johnson.
He's going to have to have a hell of a summer tour in a few weeks if he's going to play any part with us next year. Outlook not good.
By Yurt Go To PostIf you get Roma, Lazio or Napoli then I'm pretty sure they'll royally dismantle you
Holy hell Napoli
Pls behave, I thought you'd dethrone Roma, not lose against every corpse in Serie A.

Assuming we make it past the CL qualification stage, will be interesting to see how things go with the match prep during CL gameweeks. Everyone better be up to speed with the way Van Gaal works now cos there will be alot less time on the training pitch.
By confuziz Go To PostYou can't draw those teams. It'll always be teams like Ajax, Club Brugge, Dnjepr, Besiktas or even worse. They've changed the seeding or something now haven't they. Think it's possible to draw the "better" teams now.

You've been by a distance (imo) the 4th best team in a country which is dogshit in Europe. I think its going to be some years before any of us aside from Chelsea even get to a CL semi. Unless you go even more ballistic this summer than I expect, and that's pretty fucking ballistic.

Brenton is a joke character and not to be taken serious.
Played great against a team where half forgot to turn up.

Maybe LVG can forego the call and get advice face-to-face.
By VivalabanterThey've changed the seeding or something now haven't they. Think it's possible to draw the "better" teams now.
They've changed the pots and the ranking, not the way the qualifiers go.
If only every player gave honest views during interviews rather than reading the club script of "passion" and "character"
FWIW I don't think we'll make a splash in the CL either, but just having those extra midweek games is enough for me right now. Seen far too little of us this season. Don't think we'll hit 45 games.
People underestimate the number of shite clubs who are in the qualifiers as well. Sure, there are many very good teams who can be drawn, but there are dozens more who Man Utd would waltz past.

We'll make our signings before the qualifiers. Confident we'll get through and hopefully we can make a good push in the CL Next season. PL title will be the priority though.

Bilbao and Lille last year... Bilbao has proven hard enough for United before.
But just wait, we will do it again
and by that I mean still lose over 2 matches of course.
Whens the last time an English team failed in the quals? I imagine theres an obvious one but I cant honestly remember it in recent years.

No idea. But it got harder a year or two ago I'm pretty sure with more teams from the better leagues, having a none champions way and more from poorer leagues, going directly in.
