Start and fewest errors wins today and no surprise it is Lewis and another well deserved Championship
Perez top today, never panicked did his thing and on the podium.
Charles with the right call to stop early for second stop.
Max shocking start and bit unlucky behind Perez (after he made error) threw a better result away.
[edit]Charles error and misses podium and Seb takes it wow

Imagine how pissed Leclerc must be right now.
Bottas was like when you drive the wrong way in a game and it keeps trying to turn you round.

Great race from Lewis. Happy to see him take the title after a race like this.
And Max was way too greedy for Perez there. Threw away his own race.

Hamilton getting the job done. In other news why the fuck is the race at 5am. Going to have to watch the replay I guess.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostLewis Hamilton got beat by Nico Rosberg in the same car.Shanks your Italian is showing. If you watched that season you would know it wasn't just that.
I can’t help but laugh at him.

Tell me another driver that beat 2 7 time world champions as his teammate m8
Rosberg is a very underrated driver. Hamilton was only beaten twice in his career by teammates, once by Button and once by Rosberg.
Althought the 2016 season where he was champion, he had a loooooooooooooot of good fortune with Hamiltons mechanical retirements.
Nico definitely underrated, best German driver of the post Schumi generation.
Having said that, Lewis should have beaten him more convincingly, but I always felt like he never saw him as a real threat (always beat him, from his karting days) and therefore took it (to) easy at times, knowing he would end on top in the end.

I have this exact same feeling.
Would be nice to have another proper teammate against him but I can't see it happening. Bottas is the new Mercedes Kimi.
Main reason I and many others never really warmed to Lewis was because he's never been in a shit car. Us Brits love to see our sports stars suffer.
He also has the obvious handicap of being a successful black man. Which is gonna upset 52% of the country.
I've grown to appreciate him more as a driver as time has gone on and now that the gammons really really hate him he's now my favourite driver on the grid.

Lewis was the first driver I heard of and became a fan of before he entered F1.
Friend was working and organizing (top) karting races in Genk and remember him talking about three extremely talented youngsters (Lewis/Nico and Robert) coming through the ranks that were more special than he had seen in previous years. Same time MotoTV started airing jr series in my country and later Eurosport joined the party (GP2) and have been a Lewis from fan that GP2 year on.
You than always wonder how they stack up at the highest level, but you could see from the 1st race on that he was taking the fight to Alonso (top dog at the time) and was indeed special. Titles, or the amount of them don't say to much to me, as you always have to be at the right time at the right team (Alonso for example as the reverse of that), but it is nice to see someone that good and not forget fair on track, being the one on top.
Haven't seen anything like that up until Max and Charles came through the karting ranks and in to F1.

New weekend almost done, 3 place race in the night dessert and even chance for rain.

Hammy to become Sir Lewis Hamilton in 2021. Took them long enough. Shanks in complete tatters and am rosebudded.
I used to follow F1 & WRC sparsely when I was growing up because here it just wasn't covered a lot. Only when Hammy came into the picture did I start to get back into it then I also enjoyed the Vettel years. To see him consistently perform and then get to where he is now makes me proud to be Black-British.

FP1 was a complete useless mix of different (test) tires and other than the Merc dominance on the normal mediums, pretty useless to draw any meaningfully conclusions.
FP2
With double red flag, quick runs were compromised so some drivers did not have clear track (others already on long runs). Track still rear limited and not much difference between reds and mediums (Max quicker on meds, Perez few thousands quicker on reds, Merc did no med laps). Top teams probably want to qualie on meds, unless it is a two stop race.

Max surprisingly fastest, Honda's first few years this track was always their best (rear traction??), gap to midfield looks legit so might be fun Q session (colder later on, maybe helps Merc). Midfield close as always, Ferrari at the end of it, no surprise as it is a more power track.
Lewisssss
Amazing how merc fixes a small issue, traction rear (or maybe temp lower), in few hours.
Sergio just ahead of the Renaults, could be important for p3 if Lance does not shows up.

But anything to give Lewis a challenge would be welocome.
