That's an active infection rate of about 7% for players, while testing clearly doesn't show all infections across the US that is nearly 18 times higher than the active infection rate in the US.
edit: fixed numbers a bit

tldr: intelligent defensive player, good passer for his position and role, good corner shooter that has gotten better at attacking closeouts, limited athletically, struggles to finish around the rim through and around contact

A second Heat player has tested positive for COVID-19, and the Heat will shut down individual workouts at AmericanAirlines Arena, according to Ethan Skolnick of Five Reasons Sports.
Derrick Jones Jr. is the first positive test, and it's currently unknown who has also tested positive on the Heat. Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel does add that it is a rotation player. The Heat are headed to Orlando on July 8, and they will resume activities in the Disney facilities.
MLS already learning the hard way the "bubble" is contaminated. NBA and Disney wants to bring the NBA down there... wonder if we will get another high profile NBA player opting out.

Landry Shamet has tested positive for coronavirus and is unlikely to travel with the Clippers to Orlando this week.
This doesn't mean Shamet won't eventually join the Clippers in the bubble. Before he does, though, he'll need to self-isolate and pass two negative tests, then test negative again upon arriving in Orlando. Teams won't play exhibitions until July 22 and the Clippers' first real game will be played July 30, so Shamet may not miss any games. Still, the more practices and workouts he misses, the more he'll need to catch up once he's healthy and cleared to play.
A third Heat player has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.Florida yo
One of the players is Derrick Jones Jr., who tested positive on June 23. The other two players have tested positive in recent days – their names aren't being disclosed, but Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald writes they are both "rotation players." The Heat will travel into the Orlando bubble without these players, and will be without them until their self-isolation is complete, they've passed two negative tests, and they've been cleared to play by a physician.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/adam-silver-says-nba-may-need-tape-delay-in-orlando-to-avoid-bad-language-from-players-during-games/
As Adam Silver explained in a TIME100 interview with Sean Gregory, bad language is a real concern as the NBA resumes its season at Disney.
"I think often players, they understand when they're on the floor, they're saying certain things to each other because it's so loud in the arena, they know a lot of it is not being picked up. They may have to adapt their language a little bit knowing what they say will likely be picked up by microphones and in all seriousness, we may need to put a little bit of a delay."
By Not Go To PostHoly shit imagine a child today being exposed to the word fuckSpeech deemed "profane" is more accessible than ever. The NBA is doing this for money (and has had these delays in broadcasts this whole time) i don't know why doing something advertiser friendly would be surprising.

I'm not 100% familiar with current web monetization practices, but are there really still brands that don't advertise on videos that aren't bleeped
As we transition over to 100% Internet streaming there has to be a reckoning eventually. We'll need to rewrite the rules of "TV-MA" and "R" to exclude profanity as a new economic standard will necessitate it. Fewer and fewer people are going to refuse to buy Chevys and Gilettes if their 10-year-old hears Giannis drop an f-bomb
It's going to be almost as impossible to censor on-the-court chatter as it is to prevent covid transmission. They'll have to give up as soon as conservative America at large realizes it cares much more about hearing every other second that was chopped out than whatever "family values" people pretend to care about when it gives them power over other people

How many players would need to test positive before a game is cancelled? I've got to think they'll keep playing as long as a team can suit 8 players
By Not Go To PostI'm not 100% familiar with current web monetization practices, but are there really still brands that don't advertise on videos that aren't bleepedYes, YouTube videos with much profanity are marked (at first by the uploader, but can be changed after YouTube analyses it) as partial monetization and are only eligible for AdSense revenue to those brands who opt in, and I believe all the biggest ones don't.
I wouldn't want my hypothetical young child watching profanity laden videos, either.
