Players of all sports should just demand that the owners be with them at all times and that bubble will tighten up ๐
By pilonv1 Go To PostLike most things I've been ahead of the curve on this one. Too many people to please, too many risks
I've been in favour of cancelling the season back when AD joined the Lakers.
At the very least the nba should losen their political protest rule. Not allowing them to kneel is gross anyway but it would be even worse now.

Don't kneel BUT we'll regularly air player commercials about gun violence awareness, highlight charities, etc

By Kibner Go To PostMo Pete is either the third or fourth best SF in Pelican history. Peja, Ingram, Ariza, and Mo Pete.what did chris paul and david west do to you
By Not Go To PostYeah. I figured this was right around the corner. A lot of these media guys say they're all about the players and their communities - but ESPN/Disney/etc wants those bills paid and are openly making regular cuts while ratings are down.
By aka Espi Go To Postwhat did chris paul and david west do to youThey both own and I love them so much and the Crescent City Connection with CP3 and Tyson ruled so hard and that crew is what got me into the NBA.

Damn Ray ain't so babyfaced now...
Blake Griffin (left knee surgery) said he's not 100 percent yet but hopes to be "quickly."
This is why we take players comments about their health with a grain of salt as Griffin said in early May that he was 100 percent. According to Omari Sankofa of the Detroit Free Press, Griffin recently sat down with his trainer to "review rehab notes and put together a plan to escalate his training." As for his future in Detroit, Griffin is an awkward spot because he's no longer in his prime at age 31 and the Pistons are preparing for a long rebuild. What makes this even more complicated is the fact that Griffin has one more guaranteed year on his bloated contract followed by a player option worth nearly $39M in 2021-22.
2020-21 Contract details by year 31 $36,595,996yikes...
2021-22 Contract details by year 32 $38,957,028

Man this Matt Barnes thing with Kyrie is weird as Hell.

I don't like Kyrie at all but these shots at him recently are so manufactured its actually kinda fucked up
By DY_nasty Go To PostI don't like Kyrie at all but these shots at him recently are so manufactured its actually kinda fucked upHe has questionable opinions and doesn't have a friend because all of this stuff keeps leaking.
Kyrie also strikes me as the kind of guy who just says anything that comes to mind with no filter. Not so bad when you're just hanging with your boys, but you have to be able to work your audience when speaking in a leadership role to other players and the league.
NBAPA rep making $40 million after playing 20 games telling dozens of guys "fuck your money, let's go make a real difference. Better yet, fuck this NBA shit we High Flying Bird now." is just a bad look no matter what. He can't speak for everyone in this scenario.

The guy in the replies named Ben Weinberg makes my head hurt.

They're spending a portion of the money that's generated from their labor force's talent. Players that are the best in the world are the ones bringing something that can't be replaced. The owners just count the money. They're entirely replaceable.
Man itโs hard being a Kyrie fan sometimes
He really a different dude
Maybe this shit is more thought out than itโs being presented cause rn (and usually) he comes off like a random kook from thecoli

LeBron snitching on everyone again
How would the NBA resolve this is in a playoff scenario?
Player A claims they saw opponent Player B sneaking out or otherwise breaking quarantine.
Player B denies it.
Player A says it's unsafe for Player B to be around anyone for 7-10 days and threatens to sit out if player B plays.
How famous does player A have to be for the league to take his word?
By pilonv1 Go To PostSitting out is a playoff series. You know some team will do it.It's gonna be Houston calling out some other team's player. No doubt
