It makes very little sense to bring those four team teams for a few warm up games and a single or double elimination tournament. I hope this starts moving to a group pool first round.
Also instead of a lottery for the groups we need a draft where the top seeds get to draft their group live on tv in front of a player rep from each team.

I got to see my nephews over the weekend, the first time in 2 months. We got to play, and my brother in law has completely fucked up my little nephews shot, he's less about skill work and playing horse with him or playing 1 on 1. Playing horse means he's shooting from much further out than I was letting him, so his footwork is all fucked up now as he heaves shots. In the before time, in the long long ago his feet were absolutely perfect, right foot slightly in front of the left and turned a bit, now his left foot goes way out in front while he shoots from the hip. I now know how the Sixers felt when Markelle Fultz started shooting, the first shot my nephew took I literally said "what the hell?". Just awful man, his handle isstill fine and he can make layups with either hand at 9, but the shot form is completely broken now and the fundamental base of footwork for shooting is gone......I need to get on zoom and have him fix it.
The only positive is that his older brother has gotten better and leaned out + is almost as tall as my sister who is 5'6 (He's 11).

To be fair not every team in the playoffs would benefit from going straight in. It’s possible the warriors voted for it and Houston or Dallas did not
I get they want as many markets and stars as possible for TV purposes (both obligations and viewership) but 22 seems like too many. I don't even see how you would do it with 9 in one conference and 13 in the other unless you dropped conferences.
