Jerome James best big man in GAF CourtRivals history. Was putting up 15/15/5 games as the center routinely.

If you fellas are down for some early morning basketball ball (11:30est) please may I point you in the direct of the British Basketball League (BBL) trophy final.
My local squad semi pro Team Solent Kestrels face off against full time professional northern powerhouse the Newcastle Eagles. The Kestrels aren't even in the BBL but the lessor NBL and were an invited team, the closest US comparison would be a Div 2 school taking on a Div 1 school. No NBL team had previously made it past the quarter final stage and the Kestrels are unbeaten all season (technically lost the second leg of the semi final but this is decided on aggregate points so im counting the dub)
The Kestrels are led by American duo Ian Smith former PG for Northern State University and Travis Charles out of UAlbany. Smith in particular is far too good for this level of basketball and I'd expect to see him in a good pro euro league next year, shame he's so small. Coach Matt Guymon is being lauded as the reason for the Kestrels sudden rise to the top of the NBL and is even being touted as the next coach to jump from British Basketball to the NBA like Nick Nurse.
Should be a good match up but I'm backing my boys for a big win.

I watched some BBL stuff a while back on one of their gimmick weekends where they had a 4 point line. Was surprised at the level of play, wasn't as bad as I expected.
The standard of the league and British basketball in general should be higher when you consider the participation at youth levels, but I've been really impressed when I've gone to kestrels games this year, they are averaging 106ppg so it's at least entertaining.

By KP Go To PostHurts. Did well to force OT after being 14 down heading into the 4th.Yeah, they did well. The commentors kept mentioning the NBL, so I looked it up and Solent is a NBL team. Was this final not the BBL final, but some kind of champion's league esque tournament?
Had a good look to win it.

It's all the BBL teams plus a few invited teams from the NBL and Scottish league. So yeah, it's a straight knock out tournament with diff teams from different leagues.
Solent knocked out 2 other BBL teams on the route to the final. The BBL is a buy your way in franchise model so pretty closed off for NBL teams.
Tyronn Lue is the betting favorite to become the Nets next head coach, partly because of his experience with superstars and Kyrie Irving himself.*deep breath*
Kenny Atkinson and the Nets shockingly parted ways during the season, but that was because Atkinson didn't want to be a lame-duck head coach for the rest of the year. All eyes then went to Lue, who is currently Doc Rivers' top assistant with the Clippers. In an interview with Newsday, Jared Dudley spoke about his experience playing on a team with Lue on the bench. "He holds that accountability because he was a player and he has won a championship. If you look at all the players that have had T. Lue as a coach, they talk highly of him." There have been some reports about Irving and Lue having a bad relationship, but Dudley was quick to say that Lue respects Irving and the two wouldn't have any major issues. Whether it's Brooklyn or somewhere else, Lue is destined to get another head coaching job.
AHHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHA
Go from Atkinson to Tyronn "Carry my Bags" Lue.

NBA Betting Commissioners (DY, reilo, BA) might call the bet final if the season were to end today and Smokey would lose.
There's a chance the NBA would want to do a postseason of some sort before next season starts but the regular season is almost certainly over.

For whenever the CourtRivals thread is put up, I just found I'm the Admin of the Retired CourtRivals Stars team. I have a bunch of players that were transferred to me when people quit:
Boris Diaw Classic 2009-11-02 transfer...
Jason E. Terry Classic 2009-11-14 transfer...
Noel Gallagher Classic 2009-11-01 transfer...
Dirk Nowitzki Classic 2009-11-02 transfer...
Gallagher was Meier's character, Diaw probably Dy's, Dirk obviously Branduil's... who had Jason Terry?
