Starting Friday, Los Angeles County will once again require masks to be worn on all public transportation as well as inside of airports.
During a Thursday afternoon briefing, Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer announced that the county will issue a new COVID-19 health order effective Friday that will require masks to be worn on all public transit within the county, including buses, trains, taxis and ride-hailing service vehicles.
The order will also require masks to be worn at all indoor public transportation hubs, including airport and bus terminals.
Meanwhile Thursday, the county reported 2,123 new COVID cases along with 13 deaths and 224 people hospitalized.Honestly I wasn't going to be one of the people without them yet anyway
The last time the county reported over 2,000 new cases in a single day was on February 17.
Go through two whole-ass airports without one and you're getting SOMETHING
I mean which poor soul was that? Posting extremes doesn't really do much for everyone sitting in the mean.
So at this point nothing works to prevent infection with new strains?
Caught the omicron myself was 2.5 days of a slight fever. Was annoying waking up sweating but as that was all it was I'm luckier than those who are more compromised.

By Lunatic Go To PostSo at this point nothing works to prevent infection with new strains?Just keep getting reinfected and slowly fuck up your cardiovascular system with each reinfection. Essentially a very slow death.

Essentially a very slow death.Bruh I'm still wearing masks following all the rules because I have older family. I'm just wondering what can done as this disease is so fucking contagious. Took me almost 2 years before I got it after following all the precautions and getting 3 jabs. Luckily never had breathing problems at all while I had it but fuck seems like there is really nothing to be done.
By Xpike Go To Postit you think about it we're dying slowly everydayThen go get COVID a bunch of times then and you'll die faster.

I want to be able to run marathons and we still don't know the long lasting effects of COVID. Even with a vaccine.

My father and his girlfriend tested positive, she has flu like symptoms but he has none. They are both fine.
my godmother and her husband are currently going through the ringer. back from intensive care but still in bad shape. both fully vaxed and boosted.
makes me worried for my parents again, especially my dad.

Sorry to hear that man. Sounds like vulnerable people are still highly at risk, only now no one's wearing masks and everyone's everywhere
I read recently we passed the mark where only unvaccinated people make up the overwhelming amount of hospitalizations and deaths

All the best
Cases have dropped pretty significantly here, trending towards zero with no restrictions on anything.

I suppose this is good since we have zero restrictions now. My dad just caught it but he is vaxxed up at least and seems alright.

I thought i was invincible but I finally caught it. Not surprising after attending a large music festival but i'm asymptomatic and i wouldn't have noticed if i didn't test everyday.
Spain doesn't even require you to stay at home anymore if your positive but i'm just chilling on the balcony for a few days.

My wife's side of the family (and her) got it about a week ago. Everybody is just about over it now and back to normal.
This thing is never going away.

Yeah my in laws got it just Memorial Day weekend picking up a relative at the airport. They didn’t test positive yet but they called the party off due to exposure. The relative tested positive shortly after landing with super mild symptoms just coming on. Good thing they canceled
