They've recently discovered that even though COVID antibodies are undetectable in tests after 3-4 months, it doesn't mean they're not there. They are more than likely in a hibernating state and can be woken up almost immediately when the virus reoccurs.
Regarding mutations, as long as key symptoms remain the same (especially the worst and most fatal ones related to respiratory issues), the antibodies will continue to suppress the infection and prevent over-inflammation of your respiratory system and help you get through it.

And besides, let me be clear: Fuck Rand Paul
His motivations for letting previously infected COVID patients to go out and about are not because he thinks it's the sane or scientific thing to do. His ulterior motives are always fucking shit.

Rand Paul is the same asshole that tested positive and went to lunches and the gym afterwards with colleagues present. He's a piece of shit, just like his father.
... wow
He's STILL repeating the "more cases because we test more"
EDIT: Performed significantly better than out peer countries LOL
... i can't post all the lies, he's too fast.

I think Illinois set a daily state record for the country with 15,415 positive tests

By batong_doicare Go To PostHeck no, Tegnell is doing well following the science. Is the FHM perfect? No, but I have 100% faith in them.

It's kind of funny how the Swedish strategy is used for propaganda outside the country. The alt-right in the US and Israel are using it as a way to point out how their countries should act and how countries should go after herd immunity and as Tegnell said: "don't, that's a very stupid thing to do." I'm parapjrasing here.
I can't understand their reluctance to recommending masks though, Rosso, and thinking it does nothing for aerosol protection (against others).
Someone was asking about hospitalizations:
More than 1,380 new deaths were also reported on Friday, pushing the 7-day average to more than 1,090 new deaths a day. And hospitalizations for Covid-19 also set a national record on Friday for the fourth-straight day, reaching 68,516, according to the Covid Tracking Project — a figure that has more than doubled in just five weeks.

im more concerned about state by state capacity issues more than anything else i guess. i get the infection #s panic is the most popular thing to track, but the shit hitting the fan point is hospitals being dramatically worse than they should be right now. everyone knew the second wave hitting around flu season was going to happen and there's been tons of prep for it - allegedly
new york's rate was like 2.5+% i think and honestly i think its going to be much higher than that everywhere by christmas.

North Dakota is over in ICU bed capacity but not overall capacity. What’s the actual breaking point for resources though? Total or ICU?
Couple states are over capacity for ICU but overall capacity
Also ... don’t some of these rural states need to be broken out by region?

EDIT: beaten. Didn't see the earlier post myself lol
most of this stuff shows a peak in january and i feel like if that's the case then yikes....
edit: yeah, but i don't know any regional tracking sites either.
By Fenderputty Go To PostNorth Dakota is over in ICU bed capacity but not overall capacity. What’s the actual breaking point for resources though? Total or ICU?I don't know about each state, but I do know that proactive community outreach efforts and better resources mean that people won't be piled up in waiting rooms and parking lots anywhere close to how they were before. better care and options earlier on -> much, much less falls on the ICU part of the process
edit: yeah, but i don't know any regional tracking sites either.
Comparing a place like NY to ND and its a stark difference. 200k tests and 5,000 positive vs 11,000 tests and 1,500 positive.
Yea, I can only imagine the actual cases being higher because the number of tests is so low. I have no doubt that places like ND has more cases than they are able to report because people refuse to get tested.
By batong_doicare Go To PostI can't understand their reluctance to recommending masks though, Rosso, and thinking it does nothing for aerosol protection (against others).I can understand it. They don't believe people can handle them properly, they think people will relax and be over-confident, the masks are more needed for the medical personel and essential workers and there is no peer-reviewed study that shows a definite advantage in using masks in everyday situations. It's a lot better to just stay at home as much as you can and avoid crowded places, which they have been telling us since march. Especially if you get any symptoms at all.
And despite all of that, if you don't agree then there is nothing that stops you from using masks. They are not in any way forbidden here.
A very large majority of the population is wearing masks in public but I think we are continuing to see that the overwhelming method of transition is between friends and family in settings where people take them off. I think there is still some social stigmas and peer pressure issues when it comes to not wearing masks there. There might be something to the false sense of security that they might provide but it's still something that should be encouraged, obviously.
Thanks for applying to be a politician in the United States. Would you prefer to be a Republican or a Secret Republican?
By Xpike Go To Postman people must be pretty stupid if they cant put a mask on rightYou’ve probably seen people wear it on the chin or touching it the whole time. What’s the point then?
I see the US is closing to 200 000 cases per day, wow that’s hard tomeven imagine what big of a number that is.

Anyway my aunt got the rona. Got it from someone who drove her to the hospital (for something rather small, but she wouldnt be able to drive afterwards). Been doing fine so far (she was infected around 10 days ago), mostly normal flu symptoms.
Co-worker who's been out over a week just tested positive lol

My sister in law got a positive result for COVID, and she's an incredibly careful person (asked me politely not to come inside their house when I was visiting from FL). They suspect one of the kids is asymptomatic and got it in school, but waiting on all their test results to confirm. She feels like shit, but no fever. Has a heavy head (sinuses most likely), and cold symptoms.
