Even she said "nah" and is going to wait and see how the first round or two of vaccines go before getting one herself. She said she was just fine staying home until next Christmas, if need be.
I had a scare last week, I developed a cold/cough and felt pretty out of it. Luckily, being in Canada, I was able to contact a nurse through a line called Telehealth and I also was able to see a virtual doctor. They both recommended that I get a COVID-19 test, but both said it’s likely a sinus infection or cold. I got tested and thankfully I don’t have it — I was 99% sure I didn’t, I haven’t been out anywhere besides getting groceries, but always better to be safe than sorry.
That said, the swab up the nose suuuuuucks. It’s super uncomfortable.
COVID-19 definitely is making me way more paranoid, any time I get an itchy throat or a runny nose I think I have it.

We're in such a unique time that I have trouble finding words of comfort. Just hang in there.
After we've been at about 2000-2400 cases daily for some time, the numbers have been slowly growing. 2800 yesterday and fucking 4000 today in Germany.
It's still low compared to other countries nearby, but it's really scary again despite the majority of cases not being the risk group as far as I can see.

One of my friend's kids (freshman in college) caught COVID this week on campus. She's seemingly fine though, but still sucks.
