Huge Libertadores away game for my boys in Asunción right now. Up 1-0 on aggregate. We started qualifying all the way in the first stage and no team starting there has ever made the groups in the current format.
By Meier Go To PostDon't know why English teams would struggle there, it's usually really easy
Not just big. Not just massive. GARGANTUAN!
By Xpike Go To Postthink the biggest question is if sarri is a fraudI'll try to answer this objectively
objectively we're playing worse, despite having a better team.
we're days away from March and he still doesn't know his best XI
he keeps correcting his mistakes at HT. He pulled out Pjanic when it was clear since the beginning of the season that he's quite poor in that role
I suspect our defensive woes are all down to him switching to zonal marking, something we never did before. Why? We were comfortably the best D in Italy, you don't touch that.

By inky Go To PostWelcome to Juve, Pocket Tuna-
Yes away goal! 2-0 up aggregate! Slightly offside but I have no sympathy for the dirty cunts who concussed and split open our keeper into an ambulance and only got a yellow for it.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostFucking hell.the players are just not up for it either
I would bring Allegri back before the weekend.
Sarri “It’s difficult to explain why, but our first half moved the ball too slowly, with no movement, so naturally the opposition were going to press, win the ball back and even score,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“We lacked determination and aggression when attacking, and for 15 minutes lacked it defensively too. We were unlucky to concede when De Ligt was off injured.
“The second half was better, but frankly it’s not enough for a Champions League match. I don’t know why, I cannot get the players to understand the importance of moving the ball quickly. This is fundamental, we’ll keep working on it and sooner or later this concept will get into their heads.
“I continued to tell them, and there were many who were doing it, moving the ball too slowly and therefore getting into the wrong positions.
“We had training yesterday and the ball was moving twice as quickly as it did tonight. This is the opposite of what should happen. Lately we’re doing a lot of things opposite to in training.”
This has been a recurring theme in Sarri’s post-match comments and evidently he is losing patience with the squad.
“When the ball is slow, you lose positions, you allow the opposition to close you down, to be aggressive and steal the ball back. I don’t even think the Lyon pressing was that strong. We just moved it slowly, never varied the tempo, and when you do that, it’s frankly unlikely you’re going to create anything.
“I can’t understand why the ball was moving twice as fast in training compared to the match situation.”
Juventus dominated the second half in Lyon, but still failed to get a shot on target, other than Paulo Dybala’s offside goal.
“The second half was better because the ball was moved slightly faster, there was a little more movement off the ball and we were able to pin them back into their own penalty area, particularly in the final stages.
“We are meant to do things that are clearly different to what we are doing. I didn’t like putting a long ball forward for 60 metres, it’s futile when everyone is clammed up there, it’s better to carry it forward and attempt a through ball.”
By Scum Go To PostAh. I see Ramos picked up his customary red card tonight. loooolHe'll make it 28 in the upcoming clasico.
If he's not suspended for it lol

By inky Go To PostWhere is Pele and the power of clapping?I was racing m8. Polyphony is fucking my footy, there's races now on tuesdays, wednesdays, saturdays and sundays. EVERY SINGLE WEEK. It's killing me. My prize will be to be contaminated with Coronavirus on one of those trips, knowing my luck.
esports pros think they are too good for us already….
But nothing new, Vinicius won't make it at Madrid. Gone too soon. Rodrygo is dangerously getting closer to the same path too.

The worse thing is that there's a rumor that Madrid might be a location for a World Tour this year lol
Hope i don't die there if i'm qualified

Tear down that wall!
he did score one though technically lol
By Yurt :3 Go To Postthe players are just not up for it either
He doesn't have the players to play the way he wants, but he insists on doing it anyway.
I think I once said to Perfect Blue that Sarri was a pragmatist. At Empoli he had to players to build a solid defensive unit, and at Napoli to play a fast pace attacking game. However, it seems that while he was at Napoli and people talked about Sarri Ball, he has been sniffing his own farts and tried to box himself into that. Two clubs on the bounce know he has tried to get playing a certain way when they don't rerally have the players to do it.
Just foolish from him.

Figures show that Liverpool spent a club-record £223 million on players. Klopp made four major signings in Alisson (£65 million), Naby Keita (£52.75 million), Fabinho (£43.7 million) and Xherdan Shaqiri (£13.75 million). The Athletic understands that total of £223 million also includes agents’ fees and one-off costs related to new contracts.
During that period, Liverpool offloaded the likes of Emre Can (free transfer), Danny Ward (£12.5 million), Ragnar Klavan (£2 million), Dominic Solanke (£19 million) and Lazar Markovic (free), while they also received a payment from Barcelona in relation to the £142 million sale of Philippe Coutinho.
Eleven players signed new deals and securing the long-term futures of stars such as Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold did not come cheap.

BY ALL MEANS try your brand of football, but if you do and it doesn't work for 6-7 months then SURELY it won't suddenly *click* with these imbeciles
the season could potentially implode if we lose to Inter and Lyon at home. And I won't just blame Sarri (although holy shit who asked for zonal marking and why?) this is absolutely on the players too and Paratici.
and Zabo, lest we forget.
