Ugh the latest episode of Picard was so bad. It went to hell about 3 episodes in with like four bright spots total so far, mostly having to do with cameos from the original TNG cast
What are we even doing.

Ashoka is an incredible character. If it couldn't be Ashley Eckstein then Dawson is the next best choice. Also, I had no idea they'd be dipping this far into Clone Wars canon for Mando.

By Laboured Go To PostAnyone watched Devs?Yeah. Like it so far

The whole setup is giving me strong House Of Cards vibes though for some odd reason and I'm expecting the show to jump the proverbial shark at any point. It's no way to live.
I watched the first episode and it was too intense for me. I'm a huge Garland and Offerman fan, too, but the pilot gave me anxiety 😂
I'll give it another shot later on.

the real time rendering tech was used on this show.
a few of the shots on the trailer was done by yours truly.

Congrats man, I saw the trailer before Westworld. Must be nice seeing your work out there.
That looks great, Kabro. Already was looking forward to it because, after Unbelievable, I will watch anything with Merrit Weaver but now I have one reason to watch it.

Been watching a ton of American Dad while playing WoW. The episode where Stan shoots his dog in slow-mo was killing me, 'Moom saaayss i haaaave toooo'

This paints quite a picture, data.
Felt like Chabon wanted three things:
-For Picard to be old and live on a vineyard with a dog
-To show Starfleet being xenophobic
-To give Data a proper goodbye
And gave precisely zero fucks about any of the rest. Probably passed all that shit off to Kurtzman and Goldsman. Here, just fucking, I dunno. Fill these ten hours inbetween with whatever bullshit gets me to Data's farewell. Kthanx

Proof:
which is riduclous because the whole point of star trek is that the federation/humans/starfleet and most humans have moved beyond xenophobia/racism/etc, so they tackled these topics in other more creative ways
but this is modern star trek
but this is modern star trek
I kinda got it, humans being humans, people get scared and you get a Trump administration EVENTUALLY, even in a utopia. Just wish he didn't hand that material off to fucking Alex Kurtzman
Frustrated has mentioned it in the footy thread but ZeroZeroZero on Prime is really good. Check it out.
By Fenderputty Go To PostPicard is pretty good. At least so far.Oh you sweet summer child.
I probably like the nostalgic throw back more than some. I have some gripes but will wait for the end to flesh them out. Either way I doubt I'll end up disliking my experience with it.

I somewhat enjoyed it, but for some strange reason it never felt like a star trek show.
I finished Picard and enjoyed it all.
Some dumb things in it and I do understand the non-Star Trek sentiments, but it wasn't really going for a procedural episode style.

I'm going to start Picard now that I've watched all the TNG movies. Main takeaway from the movies is that Troi, the therapist, ends up piloting the Enterprise twice. 🤔
Gene Roddenberry intended her to have four breasts, before his wife told him this was a poor idea.Chad Gene vs Virgin Majel
Picard was fun. I felt like most of my issues were centered around Jurati. Though I thought seven of nine's arc had some issues too. In the end I got my reunions and fun moments though.
Decided to start up Discovery. I head season 2 is better than 1. Not sure what to think of Discovery yet. Seem like an interesting concept with regards to star fleets morality in wartimes.
