Seems more like he's taking advantage of a bunch of idiots than pandering to them, which is fair enough
They wouldn’t be getting the Snyder cut released if there wasn’t such fan fervour. It’s a meme made real. He left the film early, the released version was shit, everyone deluded themselves into thinking an alternative existed, and the fans willed its being into Snyder and WB’s mind, who have forked over tons of cash so he can do it. Without the fans clamouring for it, he doesn’t get a do over.
WB may be (and probably are) pandering in allowing it to happen, but that's not really on Snyder is it?
I do not think Snyder would be making this film without the fan clamouring. I do not think Snyder would be saying ‘yeah Batman says fuck lol’ if it wasn’t for the fervent fan base who have decided they are the anti-MCU. He and his work is as much a result of that fan base as he is the genesis of it.
I don't think we're going to agree here, Snyder looks like he took the wrong ideas from the Nolan Batmans, and so we ended up with Man of Steel, and BvS. He is, for me, the genesis of what the DC-verse tone is. It brought the fans along with him, as few as they are.
Regardless, this is all semantics, but I think the DC movies were bad first, and then fan service second if ever.

By inky Go To PostM8, he took the wrong ideas from Watchmen.Exactly.
I wish I could say he is style over substance. No no no, he has substance, but it's totally the wrong stuff.
I have no idea who likes his shit. It is truly baffling to me who could endure BvS and ask for more of this torture.
And in terms of JJ Vs Rian. JJ clearly created a worse movie. Rise is an utterly unredeemable nonsensical cash grab. Phoning it in doesn't even get near to describing the winging it mentality that was on work here.
I still think it's right to have him do it if he wanted to, considering the circumstances that made him drop out, for closure's sake.
no doubt its gonna be even worse lmao

By DerZuhälter Go To PostYep. JJ was just as terrible.A nihilist who then goes on to save the entire resistance while also keeping true to his peaceful ideals?
Turning the most hopeful character into a nihilist and having hyperspace jumping cruisers destroy half an armada ain't enough?.
Swear it's like some people watched the 1st third of TLJ and based their entire opinion on it
you can't blame people for not liking new things when everything new is kinda bad or actively destroys what came before it
So disappointed to read this. The Night Watch series are some of the most hopeful and life affirming books I've read in the fantasy genre. With Sam Vimes being the emotional core of it all. To see the point being missed almost entirely is pretty upsetting tbh.
My love for TLJ has nothing to do with it being new. It has everything to do with it being good. But I digress. Enjoy ur tv fred.
I love how triggered people get by the Snyder Cut.
Will it be a good movie? Highly unlikely but I see no harm in having it released.
They have pretty much all the footage shot already, the reshoots were a couple of minutes, Snyder isn't taking a cent out of the money WB gave to finish the cut, the money is going to people who probably didn't have much work this year.
But, hey, I love a good mess of a movie.

We're getting 2 separate shows. Season 3 + Book of Boba Fett according to a former Lucas employee.

By Not Go To PostI just wanted the stoic badass having cowboy samurai adventures with a baby for 5 seasons, I didn't need this, I don't need Boba Fett, I don't need stupid references, I want the continuing adventures of Din Djarin and his non-Skywalker palsMan, i so agree with this. I was fully down for at least a couple more seasons of "gunslinger and the kid".
I'm pretty sure we'll eventually get an Ocean's Eleven / Fast Five style Mando & all those other spinoff D+ shows characters & Bill Burr movie 2025. Their team dynamic is too good.

don't people get exhausted over having to follow 20 different tv shows so you can understand this tv show releasing in 5 years

By rodeoclown Go To PostYou're talking about people that ate up that Marvel Netflix stuff.i lasted 2 daredevil seasons and 1 jessica jones one and gave up, didnt even see the defenders show they did. there's definitely a difference between watching a movie every 3 months or so and binging 13 (mostly boring) episodes every month
I’m surprised Netflix hasn’t tried to get the rights to saga and make a show yet. I’m not totally caught up but it’s pretty fun
By Punished* Go To PostStar Wars discourse reminds me how Brian K Vaughan's Saga blows it away.Lying
There are fewer institutions in entertainment I'd want to see burned down more than Saturday Night Live. So many promising careers in the highest echelons of comedy misdirected and flushed away to fit within a 76-year-old Canadian man's boring, outdated sensibilities

The Lonely Island made some funny stuff for SNL. But from what I've read they were let do their own thing mostly.
SNL will have a good sketch once in awhile. Sketch comedy is hard though. Even Chappelle show had a bunch of trash and that's the best to ever do it. Key and Peele had some good ones too, still surprised CC greenlit that show with how big the production values seemingly were.
By domino Go To Postmeh the real talent is on IG and youtube for skit shit these daysTrue, but good god there are some unfunny motherfuckers on there with huge followings. Like that desi banks dude.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostYeah, the star of Until Dawn.RIP Ernst-Hugo, not sure how they can do a third season without him, not even a CGI Wallander body from Ystad will help this production.
That's unexpected, I really need to watch it someday. Caught some scenes on TV a few times and it looked very bizarre.
We 5 seasons into expanse and mans still don't understand Avasarala doesn't fuck about when it comes to the safety of erf
I think Avasaral's arc is one of the reasons I stopped watching the show. That and I lost track of where I stopped lmao

SNL also has to come up with the sketch, produce costumes and incorporate a celebrity in like 4 days instead of months like other sketch comedy shows. i mostly don't like the results but i can appreciate the effort and how hard it is to pull this off.
been binging Schitt's Creek. it's never hilarious but it's not really trying to be. it has a weird down to earth vibe that's pretty unusual for a comedy, i like it.
