By GQman2121 Go To PostSy, what is your honest opinion on the first dozen or so years of The Simpsons?Those first 8 or 9 seasons are up there with the best sitcoms, like Seinfeld, Frasier, Curb, Martin, Fresh Prince etc. One of those where I've watched every episode like 3 times but if I can't find anything else to turn on when I go to bed, it's a go to.
Simpsons and some other classics were the only reason I tried the Dinsey+ free trial.
I consider Season 3-8 of the Simpsons to be the most consistent output of quality television in history.

Only one more episode of The Leftovers to go and I think Lindelof is genuinely a great writer when he's able to stick to a plan and deliver a tight 28 episodes (and one season for Watchmen). I mention that because of his recent interview where he says they had planned for 3 seasons of Lost before either ending it or handing it to the Alias team (I don't know why he didn't choose the latter, beyond money).Glad that Lost taught him to 'let the mystery be'.
