Tvs new dracula is like an evil James Bond
That man is the relatively unknown Danish actor Claes Bang, whose electrifying Dracula channels the snarl and aesthetic of Christopher Lee and Hammer House of Horror, but is in reality something closer to a deliciously evil James Bond.‘Dracula’ Review: Sharp in Tooth and Wit

A deportation-focused ‘Party of Five’ remake is timely but shallow
This switch is the series’ big hook, and at times “Party” feels absolutely vital, with smart writing and affecting performances to back up its weighty premise. But at other times, the series lacks depth and nuance in expanding its story beyond deportation, and the writers struggle to make the characters more than stereotypes. The Party Of Five reboot may be “timely,” but its story is older than the original

Gripping and gruesome, The Outsider is one of the best Stephen King adaptations in years
But The Outsider works. Like any good King adapter, Price hews close to King’s original plot while relying on his own strengths to give the world an evocative visual palette and characters that feel truly alive within it‘The Outsider’ Brings a Faceless Terror, and Stephen King, to HBO

Sanditon Delivers Everything You’d Expect of a Jane Austen Adaptation — Until it Doesn’t
It’s an exquisite production, both beautiful and thoughtful. It’s adapted in ways that feel smart and human, while also pumping some helpful friction into the story. Then, at the end, Sanditon makes choices that will leave most viewers feeling, at best, extremely perplexed. At worst, it may feel like a betrayal.Jane Austen's unfinished 'Sanditon' becomes a modern 'Masterpiece'
Jane Austen never finished ‘Sanditon,’ so PBS is happy to fluff it up and draw it out

The New Pope’s Old Magic
Call it cognitive dissonance, call it magic, call it the divine—you can’t help but want to understand how it works. In The New Pope, Lenny Belardo’s improbable survival after heart failure is like the Church’s and like Christ’s: one of the greatest shows on Earth. That’s a title that Sorrentino’s series, in its most fully realized moments, can claim too.The New Pope’ Is Beautifully Bonkers

Little America’ Review: Exiles on Main Street L
Arriving in the America of 2020, however, the mere existence of this series can’t help but feel political. Simply presenting its characters as human beings worthy of consideration and empathy plays as a shot across the bow of those who want everyone like them to disappear from our soil.‘Little America’ Review: Small Stories Pay Off Big in a Heartwarming Apple TV+ Series

Armando Iannucci returns to HBO with a Hugh Laurie-fronted futuristic comedy about a disaster in space.
It's from this perspective that Iannucci's latest HBO offering, Avenue 5, is perhaps best approached — as a comic Poseidon Adventure in space. Such a perspective might benefit the first couple episodes, which don't stumble so much as they unfold and reveal themselves in ways that aren't always quite as funny as they should be, though things become more amusing after chaos starts ensuing.HBO's amusing Avenue 5 sends Hugh Laurie into orbit

By Fenderputty Go To PostNeed to start Dracula. Haven’t seen much if any negative about itapparently the first 2 eps are really good then the last one shits the bed
By /sy Go To PostLiz Lemon is the worst part of 30 Rock. The show would definitely be better without her.I have seen you say some horrible things but this is by far the worst.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostI have seen you say some horrible things but this is by far the worst. She was a high school bully and reported a Muslim man to the fbi because he didn’t like her. She is so unlikeable.
I saw about 70% of the first Dracula episode and I'm struggling to see why so many seem to enjoy it. Don't think I'm going to continue.
For All Mankind is pretty good. Good cast, solid production, unoffensive writing. Nothing particularly spectacular about it, but I'm enjoying it.

Watched Dracula over the last few days on Netflix.
First episoder was ok, second was pretty decent, third was meh.
Hard to really recommend spending 4 1/2 hours watching it.

Getting into succession, I'm so basic at times lol. Wealth porn with a dash corporate conflict, perfection.

Liking The Outsider, but it's so classic King it's almost detrimental. Haven't read the book it's based on, but I feel like I've seen this story unfold a hundred times. Hope to be surprised. Other than that it definitely has HBO's seal of quality on it, even though I didn't find Bateman's direction particularly bold or interesting in ep1 and 2, more like competent and by the numbers. N8 Mendelshon is good, as usual.

Not as good as Sherlock.
Started using Amazon Prime Video recently after they had the football on over xmas and my god the UI is shit.

Haha, same. Been using to watch the Expanse. X-Ray view thing is pretty cool.

When I hover my mouse over the screen it tells you the characters and the actors who play them.
Sherlock was fun but heaps of stupid too.
Also Benedict Cumberbatch made that series a hell of a lot better than it was.

I don't think I have to wonder tbh.

I keep seeing ads for another Homeland season during NFL games and I always have to do a double take and wonder how the fuck is that show still going? They should've cancelled that garbage after season 3 tops. I've swear not even Republicans hate Islam that much to keep this shit going for this long.

is euphoria actually any good? my dad talks about a lot, but cant be sure it isnt just because he's a lonely old man and zendaya is hot.
By Wahabipapangus Go To Postis euphoria actually any good? my dad talks about a lot, but cant be sure it isnt just because he's a lonely old man and zendaya is hot. It's quite alright. Even though it's kind of hard to take the show seriously with all these teenagers acting EXTREME at all times.
Your dad is probably just hot for Hunter Schafer. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
Still have to catch up on my CW DC series before watching the whole crossover but something really cool happened last night during the final episodes of the massive Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event and that connects it with the DCEU, Ezra Miller's Flash met up with the CW Flash.

It moved away from that. Going with White Nationalism and Russian election meddling.

I'll give this a shot but Eva Green is such a hard act to follow….
Eva was super hot in the first too
By Fenderputty Go To PostEva was super hot in the first tooThat too but she was the whole show. She was amazing in it. I like Natalie but going from her game of thrones acting to what anyone expects from that lead role is kinda unfair.

Right. I should have expounded “too” further. Not sure about the more modern scenery either.

But Natalie did well in her short stint in Elementary and showed more range in 3 episodes than she did in 3 seasons of GoT.
Lola Bunny can do it
not sure about the writers though, I mean even with Eva Green styling the show was pretty fucking dreadful.
