Company kinda treating merit based reviews like a box to tick. My increase happened before I even had to complete my self eval. Which sucked because it was the smallest increase I’ve had since my employment started here. That left me wondering if people were upset or if it was covid related. Just had my review. It went well. So it turned out it was covid related but shit still sucked. Told my boss my short answers in my self eval were a direct result of the company slowly giving less of a fuck for the last 3 years

So I finally started my new job last week. Going well so far but I can tell it's going to be a hectic start having to learn all of these new systems and procedures. Luckily my memory is good so I'm fairly comfortable at the moment.
On the plus side they gave me my own office and I have a nice view out of my window.
