Well I didn't get it. Kept getting delayed and now they said a guy in critical condition who had cancer got it. They were unsure if he could get it... But he did now, as it was either that or his turmors growing so big they wouldn't transplant. So had to give it to him despite the not ideal fit.

Feeling absolutely drained now. But at least this showed the waiting list is very short

Got my French horn fixed and getting back onto shape this week after being flabby for years. Focusing on the fundamentals and hopefully not going to burn out before I become competent again.

Doing the warmups from the Farkas Art of French Horn Playing book and I'm exhausted after just going through half of it and omitting the notes I just don't have the range to hit, yet. Might be a couple months before I can do finish doing them and still have the ability to do serious practice on an etude or something afterwards.

I also need to incorporate some breathing exercises and mouthpiece buzzing exercises I have into the pre-warmup. Got a lot of work ahead of me. Lol

It feels good to play again, though.

Man. I really hate that you basically have to threaten peoples livelihoods to get shit done. I've been stressed out of my mind, the past few months, tending to my grandmother. Still don't have a diagnosis, but she's going to a rehab facility. If it hasn't been blatant incompetence at this fucking hospital, it's been people basically telling her to fuck off, cause she's 90+. If it hasn't been tending to her mystery illness w/dementia stacked on top of it, it's been navigating these idiot trump loving assholes, ready to start fights, stacked on top of Rona, stacked on good ole extreme southern bigotry.

Not even gonna comment on where my mind has been.

I am fucking tired and I actually get to rest, for a while. Going back home this winter, and I'm focusing on my mental and physical health, then it's Sy grind time. I know where I fucked up before...all of this. My focus is clearer than ever.

I am never forgetting this bullshit. I get money and petty Eldritch is coming out to play.

same but w/ vacation time. i've probably "used" 10 or 15 sick days this year, and another 15 or 20 "i didn't sleep well i'm working from home today" but my nobody at work GAF about those. I don't even have to enter them in the system.
