Just no more than 1 at a time.
By reilo Go To PostHe said new not second.
Leave it to the doctor to assume when someone says "new" they mean "in addition to".
smh

By Fenderputty Go To PostHow’s the home search going Adam? You guys still hunting or waiting for the market?
Still hunting, but everything is overpriced AF currently.

I kinda toyed with selling mine right now and renting for a couple years to see if I can increase equity on a future buy during a down market.
Kinda risky though and also stressful and maybe not worth it

Aren't your kids still young? Doing this would be kinda risky in this environment, imo.

Yes ... that’s why I haven’t lol
By Pac-12 Go To PostI'm thinking of getting a new townhouse, and one of the things I was considering was having a mini-fridge upstairs. One of the things that eventually annoyed me in my old townhouse was always having to go downstairs to the kitchen all the time. I figure if I could keep a mini-fridge and a coffee maker in a spare upstairs room, it would be one less than to aggravate me while I'm working from home. This is a good investment. Having ingredients for cooking etc. down stairs kitchen and having a smaller one up stairs for easy access to whatever you like to eat/drink/microwave is worth it
But in a one floor home? Nope.

There's a proverb about how someone must be rich when they buy cheap.

Would love that.
I have to say an earthquake feels quite different on a ground floor compared to the top floor. I haven’t felt like that since I used to get seasick as a kid
Nope, didn't feel shit. Slept through it.
I also didn't feel the one a few years back that happened in the middle of the workday, while seemingly everyone else in the same office building was startled.

There are pictures out there of damaged homes and roads and things, so I guess 5.1 can't be taken too lightly if you're in the middle of it.
By DY_nasty Go To PostWhat are you even supposed to do in an earthquake?look around and pray

go to its empty house and not fuck it

By Lunatic Go To PostGo outside.I've heard this but then some countries are adamant about making the best shelter of where you are at the moment.
Felt a few earthquakes in Japan and it’s pretty nuts. Ground literally moving under your feet is some shit you can’t imagine until it happens.
By data Go To PostI'll tell you what to do during a tornado
You land in Oz.

By DY_nasty Go To PostWhat are you even supposed to do in an earthquake?Stay indoors.. if it is big enough to make you think about needing to take cover, powerlines coming down can be a real issue.
Another thing to do is open your front door if you can... if it twist the frame you might not be able to get out the house by normal means.
By domino Go To PostI welcome them
