House in Alabama.
I’ve been to Paris, Rome, Florence, Trieste and Venice in Europe. Mexico and Costa Rica south of the border.
I’ve actually traveled as much abroad as I have in the states. I’ve never been east of Houston (which was muggy in January lol) and I went to Texas for business. Only been to Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Washington for pleasure.
Edit: and Hawaii of course
i was almost about to ask if there is some kind of "interrail"-like thing where students can travel through the US for cheap but then i realized what i'm asking lol.
well there's interrail here that allows students to travel inside all of continental europe by train pretty cheaply so I've been almost everyhwere in europe. good times, i miss it a lot not the hostels though.

By /sy Go To PostGoing to South Florida would expose you to waaay more culture than Canada. Shit, you can't really even traverse through parts of south florida, texas or california if you don't know a little spanish.Lol absolutely shit post. I take it you’ve never left the states either?
Like I said, USA is fucking huge.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostLol absolutely shit post. I take it you’ve never left the states either?Sy is an immigrant.
It actually costs more to take a train from Baltimore up to New York and back than it does to fly there. It's ten times faster though. The bus is only like $10.
By Kibner Go To PostSy is an immigrant. So is my father and plenty of other people I know yet they still never leave the country.
It was an ignorant statement by him.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSo is my father and plenty of other people I know yet they still never leave the country. He has lived in multiple countries for a considerable amount of years. He has been exposed to multiple different cultures.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostLol absolutely shit post. I take it you’ve never left the states either?I wasn't even born in the states m8.
what is ignorant about my statement? I'm aware of the cultures in Canada. Much of the Caribbean immigrate there. From my experience, south florida is more of a melting pot than Canada. Hatian, Jamaican, french, Cuban, Puerto Rico, Greek, etc.
By /sy Go To PostI wasn't even born in the states m8.The fact that you don’t seem to know anything about Canada? Parts of Canada like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal have more diversity and culture than “south Florida”. Never mind the fact that regional cultures of Canada are vastly different. You say the US is big, which it is, but Canada is even bigger lol.

Canada is bigger, geographically, but iiirc isn't most of that land unoccupied?
PB, you will take me to the sacred Maple tree in Winnipeg or so help me God, I will start killing these hostage bunnies!
By /sy Go To PostI'll take your word for it as I'm only going off the word of family members.I’m not knocking Florida or anything like that, just found it a strange thing to say that one section of a state has more culture than all of Canada, especially when your only point of reference is apparently “family members”.

By /sy Go To PostI'll take your word for it as I'm only going off the word of family members. The middle of the US is the exact same.

Texas has 30 million people but they all live in like five cities.

By Xpike Go To Postis your definition of different culture that they speak spanishi heard they speak french in some parts of cahnada. that should count for something.
Regarding he states: I want to see Alaska and travel to NY / DC / CHI and New Orleans and that's about it lol
By Xpike Go To Posteven just going to Canada or Mexico would expose you to a completely different culture tbhlol Canadian culture
By Perfect Blue Go To PostIs it difficult to get a passport for Americans?Iirc, it takes over $100, a good bit of paperwork, and up to six months of waiting.
It's $35 and takes several weeks, you can expedite it to several days for like $60.
edit: that's just for a passport card, the "passport book" is $110

It does not take 6 months to get a new US passport or renewal. It can take up to 6 weeks, but you can pay an additional fee and have it in less than 48 hours believe it or not. It's as simple as filling out a DS-11 form and taking your ID to the Post Office. They take care of the rest.
I used to do this for domestic and international staff for a non-profit multiple times a week.
