That is what makes it get better…Aye, I actually cry more from happy thoughts when something reminds me of my dad or a situation he would have liked than from sadness, so I guess that's a positive (and as it should be after ten years since his passing).
And on that note, I am sorry for your loss, Joe, and let the mourning take time, it usually does and don't worry if your emotional state goes up and down, it is all natural and will get better.

What really sucks is that it felt like there was no closure. My dad was stuck in Taiwan with his sister (really happy there was someone there with him though) . My brothers and I aren't Taiwan citizens, so we couldn't go there to visit, and even if we did, we would have to quarantine for 14 days, so it wouldn't have mattered anyways.... My mom is a citizen, but is still in quarantine.
Just wish we could have been by him or something.
