Real Picture of Kibner.
By Pac-12 Go To PostCologne slaent, how many do you have at any one time? Stick with one particular brand, or a couple, more?Usually two. I don't use them regularly, so I tend to have a lighter and a stronger one, depending on the occasion.
This past week, I spent like $700 on cologne… expanding my available options from 3 to 6.
Might not be done.
Got three around currently as I got Davidoff Run Wild as a gift, but that stuff is weak and smells pretty cheap.
The normal grey hugo boss one, but I prefer the dark blue one. The strong one is Bottega Veneta Illusione.
I don't even understand needing a bunch of cologne or perfume these days. We got deodorant and folks can bathe every day, even multiple times a day.
I like the stuff.
Hell, I've been around long enough to have owned Jordan cologne when it was first a thing.
Edit: wow, you can actually still find it, too. Had no idea.

I stick with the one brand. Acqua di Parma. And I usually go with their base scent, Colonia, and one of their high end ones, Quercia. They both have the same bases, so I just change my wearing based on the occasion.
I also stick to their range for everything body wise. Shaving and shower. I even use their candles.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbut i can't buy foodDid your order a meal service stop?
Thought I'd stop at the closest grocery store before heading over to a friend's.
Dumb.
Im always revolted by how shitty grocery stores are in poorer areas compared to well off ones. Just pisses me off how this shit was normal for me for so long. Didn't have a clue how bad I was living.

By rerixo Go To Posthow bad does it getman, opened baby food containers, perishables perishing on the shelf, meat looking like other kinds of meat, fruit and veggies clearly just taken as is
that walmart goose video looked like a prison
compared to the wegmans not even 2 miles away. freshly made cheese shop, nice bar, produce and fruit w/ RTX and mist popping off frugally, perish expiration dates in another timeline, childcare and baby section got virtual tutorials and shit...
By diehard Go To Posthow different is the area if its only 2 miles away though?you're joking right

In many urban areas the most posh places can be right by the poorest.
Tenderloin in SF is smack in the middle between rich people shopping, union square, city hall, nob hill.
USC, where some of the richest people in the world send their kids is right by South Central LA.
I'm sure there are other examples but that's just off the top of my head after being in Cali and seeing that for myself.

By diehard Go To Postno not reallyutah. i've been there so i get it
remember im sheltered
but even SLC goes from gorgeous to shit and desolate after a few blocks. that state's very unique in more ways than one though
I know there are a couple areas of SLC that are kinda bad and also the homeless shelters so i get that but i'm not sure i've been into a grocery store that bad. Seems like most of the franchise locations are fairly similar..
only grocery store i've been to as rough as dy described in the usa is a family dollar.
I don't think that should count as a grocery store.
dmv area might be woat

Seems like most of the franchise locations are fairly similar..yal don't really have clear racial divisions from one neighborhood to the next like that. i mean the state border may as well be the metaphorical train tracks/bridge/highway that other places identify as the divider between communities. i still can't think of any other place that would so openly get away with 'ethnic hair sections' in their department stores either lol
regardless, i doubt the hispanic/tongan/samoan communities enjoy the same whole foods selections or quality as the guys in riverton or bluffdale

Franchises won't go into certain parts of cities, though. That's why we have food deserts, where the poor have very little access to good quality food.

My favorite thing is when you go to really, really rural areas of the South. Like these remote rogue Piggly Wigglys and Brunos exist out there, and you kind of wonder if they have any contact with the world outside of the town.
I floated it around two years ago, but how would you guys feel about a work/professional development thread? Rules, privacy, atmosphere, etc?
By DY_nasty Go To PostI floated it around two years ago, but how would you guys feel about a work/professional development thread? Rules, privacy, atmosphere, etc?As long as it doesn't turn into a perpetual bitching thread, as that would detract from what I feel would be the point of it.
I don't want to alienate anyone or allow the thread to turn into random or film
I'm thinking LinkedIn profiles, any personally identifiable should be restricted to pm requests. Resume help should keep that in mind as well. Manager/job venting would need to be kept to a certain tone so that any feedback or advice isnt interpreted as a personal attack. Maybe some op "my field, experience is" to start similar to what the barbershop used to do.

Going back to the grocery store thing. I'm at the 'nice' place now and this is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper too 😂
Milk was almost a dollar more

Dy, my eyes were opened when I went to Wegman's, for the first time. Getting two cartons of eggs for the low, felt like I was shopping in an rpg, with cheats enabled. Trump and climate change has been fucking up my budgeting tho. 😐
Shit, even comparing two of the same grocery stores, that are 5 minutes away from each other, is wild. Shit goes from pristine to poors gotta eat...something, real quick. Layout put together like it's my first time playing Sim City or some shit.

nevermind the jurassic park intro fruits and vegetables section where you walk in. straight from the erf. i think all of them have a mini-farmer's market type deal where they place all the local/seasonal stuff up front as well - right next to the "you obviously need milk, eggs, oj lolz don't even worry we got you fam" spot.
food lion? by the time you walk to the back where all that shit is you don't even give a fuck anymore and just grab shit so you can leave already.
that first time really had me fucked up man. felt like a real truman show moment
