Whizzed by some Barca blogs after their defeat today, they're debating if they should sell Messi and cash in now. The one player that's consistently saved them year over year, lol.
They're tied for first in the league, so fickle.

Barca should learn from Madrid and cash in early instead of having to go through the embarrassment of kicking their legends out after they are washed out, like they did Raul, Hierro, Casillas, etc. I guess Ronaldo was already partly this. Not worth the money to keep him just as his decline started innit.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostTerrible comparison, point taken though.
This Barca is mid-tier at best without Messi. We're much better positioned than they are with regards to the team in 2020, we truly have some young gems in our disposal.
Still salty about letting them get away in the last Clasico.
By Daz Go To PostBarca without Messi is just a Spanish United but without the power of smiling. The time of smiling is over m8. All about that
By Frustrated_me Go To PostTerrible comparison, point taken though.Don’t think it’s fair to look at this current Barca minus Messi and extrapolate how a post-Messi Barca would look. Messi is on almost million a week in wages. When he leaves they’ll have significantly more money to strengthen their squad and would be no doubt be better than how the current one plays when Messi isn’t there.

If anything, Barcelona should be planning the post-messi era already but no sign point to that occuring, yet. Once the goals dry up they're going to find it very difficult, god knows we did when Ronaldo left but we had already started our transition, our fall was soft (and continues to be?), theirs wont be IMO.

That, and the fact that every signing they’ve made upfront for the last few years seems to have failed to work the way they’d have wanted.
It doesn’t help Barca that Suarez is also reaching the end alongside Messi, their two most influential players of the last five years.
But the point above is correct, it’s not fair to assume Barcelona should’ve bought £1m per week worth of replacement players before Messi actually leaves. It doesn’t mean they aren’t planning it internally.
For all we know in two seasons their front line is Neymar, Griezmann and Lautaro. Barca will never have trouble attracting the best talent, no matter how they drop off post Messi. It ticks every box, including Catalonia as a place to live.

Odegaard is so damn good, what a joy to watch.
Hey guys, this La Real team, don't sleep on them, great fun team to follow. I almost don't want to fuck up their chemistry, keep everyone there. Their manager is really good too.
