At his Doral golf resort near Miami, the roofing materials manufacturer GAF spent at least $1.5 million in 2018 even as its industry was lobbying the Trump administration to roll back “egregious” federal regulations.Evilore is really diversifying.

Among the key findings of The Times’s investigation:
- Mr. Trump paid no federal income taxes in 11 of 18 years that The Times examined. In 2017, after he became president, his tax bill was only $750.
He has reduced his tax bill with questionable measures, including a $72.9 million tax refund that is the subject of an audit by the Internal Revenue Service.
- Many of his signature businesses, including his golf courses, report losing large amounts of money — losses that have helped him to lower his taxes.
- The financial pressure on him is increasing as hundreds of millions of dollars in loans he personally guaranteed are soon coming due.
- Even while declaring losses, he has managed to enjoy a lavish lifestyle by taking tax deductions on what most people would consider personal expenses, including residences, aircraft and $70,000 in hairstyling for television.
- Ivanka Trump, while working as an employee of the Trump Organization, appears to have received “consulting fees” that also helped reduce the family’s tax bill.
- As president, he has received more money from foreign sources and U.S. interest groups than previously known. The records do not reveal any previously unreported connections to Russia.

Honestly the least interesting part of this story is the $750 tax bill. The other shit is juicy af and this dude definitely committed bank fraud, loan fraud, or both lol.
wish there were some more docs and writeups on how campaigns actually label and focus groups. just a glimpse at it made me numb to a lot of the jargon thrown around in election season.
People all seem to be connecting Trumps shitty rush the economy back responses with his loans. Dude really needs income from his hotels. In 2014 Jr even said they get their financing out of Russia. All this talk about fraud and 750$ seems like a sideshow
By Nonja Go To PostWhoever got $70k for doing Trump's hair is the biggest criminal in this story. It's a style popular on Manhattan so jokes on u Nonja.

Financial Institutions do risk analysis before offering these large facilities and it was obviously worth more to them than the risk.
By Not Go To PostLooking forward to the annual chess move of politicians blaming offshore jurisdictions for their own onshore legislation. It's hilarious to me how the public falls for this shit every time even after the Paradise Papers. At this point I feel like it's a move by those in power to normalize the bad behaviour.
Where will the livestreams be? I've got bags of popcorn and cookies ready on deck.
