It's your basic fearmongering rhetoric
Also, because it's invisible, it's not his fault or something. No one can see it coming! I take no responsibility for any of it!

Only ways I can interpret it are literally invisible, which is obvious being a microscopic virus, or invisible as in tending towards the non-existent.
Or is it just idiotic to even try to figure out why he uses the words he does?

By Not Go To PostShit ≠ DemsKasich left Ohio with like +15 or some shit. Getting him to speak is honestly a pretty good play for the Dems.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlol watNot sure what's difficult to understand here. He's very popular in Ohio and the Dems would like to win Ohio, hence having Kasich there to endorse Biden would help their cause.

The analytics and calculations in these political campaigns is hella advanced in 2020. On the other hand, the suburban white women, working class whites, and "Reagan Democrat" crowd that Joe Biden needs to bring out in droves to vote for him will only be more likely to vote for him if Kasich is there.

Either way, you ain't even voting for Zombie Biden. You're voting for whatever the DNC's version of Cheney that you had zero input on. I'm sure there's a way to feel good about that but I just don't see it yet.

Anything that distracts from the running theme by going back to actual politics is a bad move. Especially for Kasich of all people. Not everyone can just smile and throw candy around and be born again like Bush Jr.
Its always easy to throw around the numbers for some politicians, but when you pull their records and voters are forced to actually recall why they don't like that certain politician. You can't give a fuck about abortion, the prison system, or environmental concerns - then roll this dude out. Its an actual slap in the face to have him at the DNC. And turnout isn't something the democrats need to be playing games with...
If you want to chip away at Republican voting, do it at a distance.

Biden, and all the Dem candidates at the time, were beating Trump in head to head voting. Trump is historically unpopular with this electorate, which is unprecedented especially pre-covid19 where he was above water with regards to the economy. Odds are, Biden would be ahead of Trump now as well, though probably not as much.
Most Dem electorate don't mind moderate overtures. In fact, a significant number might agree with some of them. What specific subsection of current Biden voters would be peeled off by the likes of Kasich speaking at the convention? The Democratic platform is crystal clear: the only people really listening to an "I'm a Republican, and we need a real leader" speech are moderates and embarrassed never Trumpers.

But the Dems have to play to way too many groups to be crystal clear on anything in even the best of circumstances. Again, there's no way that the majority of those people would take a Kasich appearance at the DNC as anything other than a slap in the face. Women's rights groups? Prison reform advocates? Climate? He's going to show up, unapologetic, and piss them off. The absolute worst cases scenario for the Democrats all involve low turnout.
In the best of light, Kasich is a republican with an independent streak - and the play here is to.... bring in the independents with a republican streak? Why wouldn't those people just keep *effectively* voting republican? They get what they want far more often.
I don't understand why the DNC believes that their business is in such order that they can make stealing away votes a priority when they can't even stay consistent on their own national platforms like healthcare, immigration, crime, and union protections - and soon to be one of the biggest housing crises of the generation. Most republicans don't even like Trump and I truly feel as if that's constantly lost on the majority of left leaning voters. They never liked him in the first place. They'll put up with it because its going to get them what they want, where they are either geographically, financially, or ideologically.

I side more a lot more with the “ehhh but why tho” side of Kasich speaking, but I till say it poses an interesting opportunity in one specific area. Healthcare. I doubt they have him touch in it, but that would be good imo
Healthcare? Not even 5 years ago he put out some of the most restrictive abortion legislation in the country.

You’re crossing streams to some extent though. Yeah he is ok with allowing religious liberty exceptions to healthcare (continuously backed up at the SCOTUS as well), but the larger picture and one I think it worth noting is, UHC. He’s one of the few republicans willing to discuss this issue in good faith. Specifically during a pandemic. That being said, he’ll most likely just talk about unity and shit and bleh.
The two then parted ways. Ocasio-Cortez headed into the building, while Yoho, joined by Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas), began descending toward the House office buildings. A few steps down, Yoho offered a parting thought to no one in particular.
"Fucking bitch," he said.
Williams, who was in a position to hear the entire back-and-forth, said he wasn't paying it any mind.Great co-signer energy
"I was actually thinking, as I was walking down the stairs, I was thinking about some issues I've got in my district that need to get done," Williams said. "I don't know what their topic was. There's always a topic, isn't there?"
