There's been consistent reporting on his disastrous foreign national phone calls since his first year in office. I guess those sort of leaks happen when you gut the State Department and regularly throw your own intelligence agencies under the bus. World leaders talking out the side of their necks probably don't help matters either.
No matter. His work (or lack thereof) is already done. America has voluntarily ceded its position on several international deals and situations.

Without someone like the director of the CIA being willing to play ball on this, it's unlikely to stick to Trump.

Gotta say Biden had some good shots on goal today, really interested on seeing the Trump tweet storm tonight.
Regarding the Taliban stuff... I'm kinda floored at how weak it is. Unless there's some crazy shit like people watching snuff videos while smoking blunts with Russians, not sure what's supposed to be wild. Proxy wars didn't suddenly stop lol
But foreign policy as a whole has been so far removed from talking points that folks literally ask to be told what to think on it. I felt it was bad a few years ago, but it not even being a debate point or a regular part of dialogue is pretty disturbing to say the least.

The door slammed shut with the whole 'line in the sand' thing. There's no side to sell to the general population.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postregardless of the findings, it's unlikely to stick to Trump.FTFY bro. The senate will never ever ever ever do what’s right if it means a negative impact to the party
Edit: don’t worry DY, the country will care about FP again. Just gotta wait for the next Dems to be nominated.

No one weaponizes bleeding hearts like Democrats... They'll have people throwing parades for going back to Syria.

Conversley, the only time I remember anyone giving a fuck about Iran was when Obama was cutting a deal or when the GOP was a shitting on Obama’s deal. Imagine Obama saying ANYTHING nice about NK.

Things change.
That's actually an example of how FP as an ongoing discussion has fallen off these past few years. Iran's nuclear deal wasn't ever for the US. It was for Europe. It was doomed to fail eventually (unfortunately it ended up being sooner rather than later) but it had to be done despite Iran cooking up bullshit throughout the region. Had to be done. Either way, Iran has never been a nonfactor in the middle east.

What are we taking about here? Actual foreign policy or Americans giving a fuck lol
By Fenderputty Go To PostWhat are we taking about here? Actual foreign policy or Americans giving a fuck lolI don't think Americans expect to be handed anything more complicated than the answers to yes or no questions when it comes to FP - and because it's hard to direct interest, votes, or consistent narratives on that, politicians and the media alike have essentially given up on anything that doesn't immediately play to emotions.
This cycle is maybe the worst ever.

It’s weird because I wasn’t that young when Iraq and 911 and terrorism was the hot topic. Even then, I feel like things were boiled down to simple messages. “He lied” “we won” “wmds bad” “go team USA” “I heart NY”
Tbis isn’t exclusive to FP. Economics isn’t agreed upon and is a an entire field of of thought. Nuance though lol. I do think it’s easier to boil shit down and message economics though. It’s why people think a business man can run a government.
When you consider your citizens as units of production you are bound to fuck up. The theory is faulty from the beginning as individuals behave irrationally in a non predictable manner.
Well that's Dan fucked then.
