By Daz Go To PostAre there stats for the amount of adults this affects? I want to know my odds.
https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/lactose-intolerance-101
Lactose intolerance is very common.
In fact, it's thought to affect around 75% of the world's population.
Causes of Lactose Intolerance
There are two main types of lactose intolerance, which have different causes.
Primary Lactose Intolerance
Primary lactose intolerance is the most common. It is caused by a decrease in lactase production with age, so that lactose becomes poorly absorbed.
This form of lactose intolerance may be partially caused by genes, because it's more common in some populations than others.
Population studies have estimated that lactose intolerance affects 5–17% of Europeans, around 44% of Americans and 60–80% of Africans and Asians.
Secondary Lactose Intolerance
Secondary lactose intolerance is rare. It is caused by illness, such as a stomach bug or a more serious issue like celiac disease. This is because inflammation in the gut wall can lead to a temporary decline in lactase production.

Soy milk is best milk, unless you're having it with coffee, in which case, go with oat. Calorie to protein ratio for unsweetened soy milk is insane - 100 ml of Alpro No Sugars has 33 calories and provides 3.3 g protein.

Anyone remember the Doug Fanny episode where the girl Patty invites him round to her house? She says her mum will make his ‘favourite’ liver and onions. Doug hates it and so spends the whole episode building up the courage to try it before going round so he doesn’t look a fool. He eats it and finds he enjoys it, then goes round to her and she laughs when the mum serves something else. She knew he always hated.
Two morals to this story. Never trust women, and don’t judge food till you have tried it once(or in Sy’c case, until you have it properly prepared or at a reputable establishment)

Liver & onions is the GOAT of breakfast.
I like every single item on that list, mostly because there's a lot options on how you can try them.

but also this, will try to avoid food with bones if possible, too much effort and mess
I do want to try lobster, eaten a lot of varieties of seafood but never had the chance to have decent lobster
Problem with lobster is that it has to be fresh. The meat decays fast. That's pretty much why you typically see them alive when buying.
Also Shanks disgusts me.

By blackace Go To PostIt is funny that people still believe this(i'm not actually serious)
but there's some science behind this
"Some populations, from an evolutionary perspective, have a better genetic makeup for tolerating lactose than others. In northern European countries, lack of Vitamin D from the sun is balanced by consuming more milk and therefore more calcium. These countries' people have adapted a tolerance to lactose."
By Dipro Go To Post(i'm not actually serious)I know, but I still hear it a lot.. Shit I even thought it was true for the longest. But it seems that northern Europeans tend to have the mutation as well as many east Africans.
Lol, we still get lactose intolerant people though, but yeah 'milk gets you strong bones' was definitely touted around my parts growing up.
By batong Go To PostLol, we still get lactose intolerant people though, but yeah 'milk gets you strong bones' was definitely touted around my parts growing up.same. they even forced us to drink milk in kindergarten because it's sooo healthyyyyyy.

I'm lucky that mine is quite mild, it's just milk (by itself) that's super uncomfortable to drink. Or maybe I'm just too used to ignoring my stomach lol
