The PDFs of his books are all free online since it's a pretty old book, the first result if you google the book is the pdf. It's the only one of his books directed towards children and complete beginners.
If you want something fun to watch, you and your kids can watch How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. It's the video version of the book by the same name. It's narrated by Stan Lee so he keeps it entertaining. The tools in procreate or sketchbook recreate some of the tools they talk about(compass, rulers, etc).The book's cool too.
