Then I was going to say these two haha.

Would also throw out Berserk and Space Brothers.
By Mister Go To PostHunter X Hunter, one of the GOATsWhich one? I see one from 2011-2014 and one from 1999-2001
Neither is complete. It is based off a manga that still isn't completed. The 1999 series is superior visually, the 2011 series adapts much more of the story(since there was more to adapt).
In conclusion, don't fucking bother with either of them. Especially if you're just starting to watch anime. That is an insane recommendation to me.
Princess Mononoke is a great movie btw.

2011-2014 might be the best shonen adaptation I have seen.
I think it ends on a really good point and where the manga should of ended if Togashi had sense.
By Rob Go To PostI’m interested in anything. I already added all the suggestions to my watch listSince the topic of movies came up, basically anything from Studio Ghibli is incredibly awesome. And the majority of them are family friendly, too.

2011. The manga's not complete but I feel like the anime ends at a good enough point to consider it complete. It doesn't feel unsatisfying or like a cliffhanger.

Eh, I know a bunch of newbie casual anime fans who really loved HxH. He could keep it a bit further down the road since it's pretty lengthy though.
By joefu Go To Posteveryone should watch ping pong the animation
And the live action movie.
Shame the broadcast version got ghosted so hard. Shame Crunchyroll can't get the source. Ah well, gotta wait for the bluray.

Also, with the break next week, the manga events are synchronizing hilariously with the anime just like in season 1. Nobara got bodied the same week that her introductory episode aired. Mahito dies the same week Nanami and Yuji jump him..

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236(spoilers)
Masterful fucking chapter. Honestly hard to believe this same person wrote the culling games. I've been up and down on this fight, started out pretty great(still wouldn't be in my top 5) but I've been dying for it to wrap up. Especially after the last few chapters but wow, Gege fucking pulled it off.
This chapter is so good, it retroactively made me like the chapters I was down on. Some thoughts:
-I love how Gege ]used Sukuna mimicking "piercing blood" to setup him learning from Makora and display that Sukuna's understanding of cursed energy's mechanics is above all. Which Gege has consistently made a point of since the beginning( Sukuna telling both cursed spirits and sorcerers that they don't really know wtf jujutsu even is.
-It also makesSukuna's dialogue prior to Makora cutting off Gojo's arm work even better in hindsight. "You're not Megumi's shadow, you're mine" and "I've waited long enough" specifically. On first read, it's just Sukuna being cocky with the lines. Now, we know that he specifically wanted Makora to use a slashing attack(which also serves as a reflection of his new master, Sukuna) to circumvent Gojo's infinity so that he could mimick the mechanics with his own slashing cursed technique.
-After domain expansions(the only way Sukuna could kill Gojo using cleave/dismantle) were taken out of the equation, Sukuna has been on the backpedal, getting tossed around(not to mention the fraud accusations) all just so that he could go back to using cleave/dismantle. Makora didn't pass on any adaptation to Sukuna, it didn't even cause any lasting damage to Gojo. Sukuna was literally in the shadows watching a living youtube tutorial. Gojo himself questioned Sukuna's tactics throughout the entire fight and now we have the answer.
At the start of the fight, he even talks about how Gojo is just a fish about to be descaled on his cutting board!!!
Gojo is also right about Sukuna not going all out(which is wild).he could have brought out Makora's wheel from minute 1 of the fight, we still don't know about his "open" or flames shit, not even mentioning Yorozu's gift/weapon. Theoretically, he could have figured out to bypass infinity on his own, just would have taken longer.
And then there's how the death itself was executed
We don't even fucking witness the final blow, just the aftermath and Gojo's lopsided corpse. Not even letting the chapter end on that but moving on to the next fight with only a single line of acknowledgment from Sukuna. The most important and strongest sorcerer of the modern age gets the most unceremonious death in the entire series.
And all so well planned so that he could hilariously line it up with the release of the new anime episode this week.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236(spoilers)
I'll even add on that:
It's interesting that Gege cycled back around on how it was always supposed to be about Gojo's students taking up the mantle: possibly surpassing him and being better than the old heads. To be frank, it makes sense and always has, because the entirety of this character is based on the fact that he has failed the most out of everyone.
It's not like he didn't leave the cast with backup plans too. Folks are to focused on Judgement Cut End. Yuki's book sure as hell is about to come into play, whatever Gojo discussed with the squad before the fight, the north and south ish, etc… It's in an interesting spot in the narrative, for sure.
Honestly, the most fucked up thing about the chapter isn't even what happened to Gojo. It's Nobara not being mentioned and Yuki not being at the reunion.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostJujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236(spoilers)tbf, Gojo and Yuki never actually met, so she wouldn't show up in his afterlife death hallucination(even Toji is in the background lol). You could cope and say that she's not there because she actually merged with tengen blahblah but I think that ship has sailed.
Honestly, the most fucked up thing about the chapter isn't even what happened to Gojo. It's Nobara not being mentioned and Yuki not being at the reunion.
With Nobara, that just confirms she still has some part in the story to play. Gege wouldn't be so vague about her status otherwise but I don't rally have any faith that it will be executed well and it'll be harder the longer she's absent. Either she will do some last minute soul fuckery with Yuji and Sukuna's 20th finger(then die) or be a vegetable.

Man I hope this series ends up good idk why the anime community latched onto this after 1 chapter to meme it into the dirt
Definitely wouldn't want to be in the mangaka's position. Only good thing is that it's the western audience doing this and they don't even buy manga so if it gets axed in 20 chapters it won't be because of the memes.
This show is so ridiculous. Still, this is the first time I have seen Bearguy and Petit-Bearguy in action:
YouTube just fucking spoiled JJK in the search suggestions, without me typing anything in. great stuff.
It’s too hot rn to avoid spoilers successfully if you’re online at all. The algorithms are bound to push you something related what’s currently happening in the manga.
If i want to see anything One Piece related after a chapter, I go into incognito mode. No fucking up my algo.
Third season of Reformation of the Deadbeat Noble comic is out. The web novel was one of my favorites, so I enjoy seeing it drawn. Especially every scene with cat-form Lulu/Ruru.
My gosh. This chapter title has me hyped.
Usually When Oda does x vs x. It means the fight is over. Would be immense if Luffy destroys an admiral in two chapters.
Time to enjoy.
