maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but weren't people saying that the chip system was complicated or something in Nier? Just seems like a regular ability vs ap cost system.
-The Baby Bayoneta combat is frustratingly serviceable. A lot of precision was sacrificed in the name of accessibility I guess? the ridiculously forgiving dodge/parry window, the hold combos, the i frames.....It's so mashy.
There's so much here that could have potentially great like the weapon combinations, mobility, everything being cancellable but they're wasted. Pretty animations though. You can have fun with it for sure but it aint much.

There are plenty of missions where Eivor and crew are portrayed like they are doing heroic things, helping out Saxons ho are in need, etc.
The whiplash from that to some of the questionable things is just too much!
