By DY_nasty Go To PostSo it's FIFA then
There has been some absolute trash on the PS Store that is still available, so this is some kind of big
By Lunatic Go To PostSo it's FIFA thenIf they were playing arsenal, it would make sense
By Lunatic Go To PostCDPR don't care they already won.delisted for Christmas week
they absolutely lost
I feel awful for the devs themselves. Hopefully this leads to a shift in project management at CDPR.
Jesus
Gonna have to mend some bridges for the PS5 version. Still really wanna play a version of it that isn't a mess.

shit gonna be a blip on the radar for cyberpunk when its all said and done
By Cleff Go To PostI feel awful for the devs themselves. Hopefully this leads to a shift in project management at CDPR.Again they don't care. They are a PC dev and they have already got their money. Like DY said its a blip. People can't pay attention long enough then they are onto the next controversy.

I think it’s more of a potential future hit. Then again, it’s not like games releasing before they should are a super rare occurrence. /shrug
also, google's marketing is absolute trash
they should be all over cyberpunk. anyone could see the last gen versions rolling out as straight garbage. stadia should be raking in money considering how many people can't get new hardware these past few months
they have a solution. can't push it. awful.

If it’s bad enough that it’s being removed from the Playstation store, then it’s probably fair to say they should have push that version of the game into next year
If you can come out and admit you only had time to get the primary version of the game into good shape, you might as well have just apologised and ate another delay

They sold 15m copies already, was profitable day 1. This is about them telling people to contact Sony for refunds and there was probably some friction/agreement there. Like someone said earlier, Anthem was shutting down consoles and never got delisted. Tons of games have had similar perfomance issues (and then again, only on base systems).
Only hit is to their rep, which remains to be seen how big when their next content is years away.

By Lunatic Go To PostAgain they don't care. They are a PC dev and they have already got their money. Like DY said its a blip. People can't pay attention long enough then they are onto the next controversy.of course they care. 2-3m out of those 8 million preorders are on PS4.
It's a PR disaster on all fronts.
what is cyberpunk even competing against right now lol
people got nothing else to even run to or talk about more than anything else

By Flutter Go To PostI dont understand why you think this is a nothingburger but hey, you do you.Because it isn't. I honestly don't get why you see it as something. The actual bottom line implications are negligible in the long term. Y'all on that short term tip.
By jjasper Go To PostThey took it off PSN? damn.
I would think they either had to change the refund policy or they had remove it from the store and issue refunds. Not many other options
By Cleff Go To PostI feel awful for the devs themselves. Hopefully this leads to a shift in project management at CDPR.You mean, the implementation of any?
By Bungie Go To PostI would think they either had to change the refund policy or they had remove it from the store and issue refunds. Not many other optionsYeah clearly their hand was forced by CDPRs PR statement.
By Lunatic Go To PostBecause it isn't. I honestly don't get why you see it as something. The actual bottom line implications are negligible in the long term. Y'all all on that short term tip.Let's look at what happens in the next few days before saying it's all short term implications.
State of PCMR stanning a buggy game smh
By Lunatic Go To PostBecause it isn't. I honestly don't get why you see it as something. The actual bottom line implications are negligible in the long term. Y'all all on that short term tip.an enhanced refund process is a long, long ways away from the depiction of a wholesale mandatory product recall some online are trying to describe lol
By DY_nasty Go To Postan enhanced refund process is a long, long ways away from the depiction of a wholesale mandatory product recall some online are trying to describe lolyeah, it's a PR fiasco, not a refund fiasco. Large part of their PS buyers wont even refund the game.
This is pretty much Sony going scorched earth over CDProjekt's PR statement.
By Flutter Go To Postyeah, it's a PR fiasco, not a refund fiasco. Large part of their PS buyers wont even refund the game.the vast majority of consumers ain't checkin for a statement from either

This discussion is certainly heading in the right direction
Flutter too emotional about this. Breh, you are thinking in terms of platform wars here when it's mostly policy around CDPR throwing the burden of refunds on Sony's lap, which creates a massive headache for them. Heck, if you think that relationship is now severed you bet Phil is sliding into those DMs even more and not in fact contributing to CDPR's demise like you hope. You are too invested in schadenfreude.
And believe me, I'm petty ass mf. I'm a Mass Effect fan, I know how it goes.

When they find a daily mail article saying Sony thought it was a shit show, they'll think it's a shit show
By JesalR Go To PostA lot of people will try to buy the game though, and google for why they can't find it.lol. sony will have that shit right back on the front page for a sale, promo, etc as soon as they can too

Dont understand what you mean by being too emotional about this. I even said that it's not a refund fiasco. I agree with DY saying most consumers wont even care about the statement by Sony.
Just saying some of you saying this wont matter to CDPR isnt correct, at all. Especially since the game is delisted ahead of the holidays. Let's look at what the response is in the next few days.

the biggest disaster of the gen was halo being so toxic it got pushed off the calendar entirely. ms needed that far more than cdpr needed any console
Avengers
Halo Infinite
TLOU2
Cyberpunk 2077
All had some massive PR disaster this year. At least one of those 4 was a really good game.

internet incel rage ain't a disaster
Sales legs haven't been great but it already made the most money for Sony outside of spiderman and god of war like within a month.
goty edition remaster/mp pushes it to 15M+ ez
incel is a banned word now m9. We call them "relationship challenged" people now.
But seriously, TLOU 2 is nothing like those other messes.

shit, if Halo was on point then microsoft probably doesn't even go full warchest with the bethesda purchase. That trainwreck fucked up their entire rollout. There is a monstrous difference between Halo and the rest of those titles. Tlou2 was just internet shenanigans... I don't even understand why people consider any of that twitter negativity relevant.
Sorry SY, I loved TLOU2 but the incel / alt-right rage did impact sales.
We're talking a record drop of sales from week 1 to week 2.
