By Laboured Go To PostSaw someone on Era say that cert on these platforms has become a basic rubber stamp process since Covid hit.For the bigger publishers (looking at you, EA), it was already a rubber stamp process. According to my friends who used to work in the EA QA and certification departments, anyway.
By Laboured Go To PostSaw someone on Era say that cert on these platforms has become a basic rubber stamp process since Covid hit.Yeah, due to Covid it's basically a written agreement, than anything.
In a world where games are coming with massive day one patches that basically actually deliver the game, can cert ever be meaningful again?
cert is just to see if you used the correct logos and terminology like "PlayStation" instead of "Playstation" and pictures of the controllers/button prompts and stuff like that. it has nothing to with Q&A.
maybe if it's bricking the console or opening up vulnerabilities but that's about it. they happily certify a game running 2fps if it meets those criterias. go look at the PSN store there are some truly awful games on there.

Surprise, motherfuckers
Hes referring to console standards
By sy Go To PostBiggest Trainwreck launch ever?Anthem.
cdpr knew that smothering their asscrap game with rtx would be enough to get the pc dipshits defending them for free lmao
By Flutter Go To PostAnthem.Compared to the pre launch hype levels? Nah
By DiPro Go To PostAnthem flopped though, this one will sell incredibly well for a loong time.yep

Have to say, I get major Fallout feelings watching some of Cyberpunk's roughness.
As someone who played Fallout 76 near launch, lolno. Worlds apart. F76 didn’t even function at launch, ran like shit on good hardware and as far as bugs and glitches go, wew. One every 5 minutes if not more.
Cdpr probably knew they were making something too powerful for consoles but they knew they'd get lit up even more for not porting it to consoles
GTA V was a trainwreck on my OG phat PS3, but that get kinda fixed so I'm not to worried about CDPR.
Bloodborne still is a wreck on a base PS4 and I'm sure there's many more cases like this.
in a week or 2 "GaMeRZ" will jump on the next big complain train.

By Xpike Go To Postwhy are you cursing this thread, we got one entirely dedicated to elon's cringe
cyberpunk transcends threads.
By sy Go To PostBiggest Trainwreck launch ever?Probably tied with No Man’s Sky. What’s stunning is watching CDPR go from industry darling to pariah overnight.
By jjasper Go To PostSo did people turn on Naughty Dog or CDPR quicker?Easily CDPR. Even the fans defending crunch/bigoted shit hopped off the bandwagon with the quickness.
By jjasper Go To PostSo did people turn on Naughty Dog or CDPR quicker?Naughty dog was already on the Agenda™ when they made Ellie gay, tlou2 was the last sjw straw.
CDPR's edgel0rd 8chan marketing campaign mustered lots of goodwill with the PC gaming community so the shitty launch has hurt the gamers more.
It's incredible how much of a fuck CDPR didn't give about the PS4/XB1 version when those platforms feature much better looking/performing games compared to their CP2077 port including their own in TW3.

So far every other cross gen game is performing fine, even more so this time because this game and last gen share the same architecture
By DY_nasty Go To Postcross gen stuff always suffersMan, not like this lol
By sy Go To PostSo far every other cross gen game is performing fine, even more so this time because this game and last gen share the same architecturelol sure. miles may as well have been extended dlc, valhalla was a mess, other games can't even update at a regular speed because they want to push out stuff for more platforms.... it takes years to smooth out cross gen bullshit and corners cut
By reilo Go To PostMan, not like this lolalways like this. main reason i got a pc was so i could stop caring. its been great
By Yurtlicious Go To Posthonestly i was missing the dumb glitches that only a bethesda game could bring
Bethesda's bugs are somewhat endearing for some reason
most likely because their games look like shit to begin with, it sticks out here lol.

Covid has had way more of an impact than any cross gen period lol
Shouldn't really be comparing it to those games imo. I think I said it before, but this is more like when DICE ported BF3 to Xbox 360
All I'm gonna say is cyberpunk is way less disappointing than fallout 4 or outer worlds or mankind divided so far.
By JesalR Go To PostSo is "current gen" now considered ps5/xbox yet?
Surprise, motherfuckers
By Daz Go To PostIn about a week, everyone will have calmed the fuck down.yeah because the next hype train wouldve started by then
