You're talking about the daytime shots that look like they're at the dead of night/underground? Of course darker looks moodier/cooler etc. but they simply shouldn't look like that.

I mean, by way of contextual comparison, just look at the images of the bar scene. Clearly similar lighting with no outside light playing part means their lighting scheme looks quite similar.
