-Hades, a game that stated in Early Access on the Epic Games Store that has seemingly turned into a big success because everyone that plays it can't shut the fuck up about it. I'll probably never play it because, I thought their last two games, Bastion and Transistor fucking sucked. Nice fanart and sick OP though.

-Animal Crossing. Nintendo owes covid a check. The pandemic carris this game to almost 30m units sold and the year isn't over. Arguably, this IP is now more important to Nintendo than Zelda. During a dark period of my life, I almost bought a Switch to play this game, thankfully, Switches are real hard to find & I snapped out of it.

-Doom Eternal. That one song was cool, Doom 2016 was cool, people seem to like this a lot, though I do remember people on this very forum complaining that this sequel added too gameplay. Shoot me in the head fam.

-I played the FFVII demo. About 90% of it was running in a straight line down a hallway. Turns out that's the entire game! Combat against the boss was fun though besides the auto jumping air combat. They should be announcing the next gen version to go along with the multi platform release soon. Might pick it up.

-Ghosts of Tsushima. Looks like the old assassin's creed games but with slightly better combat. Word of mouth is good but Sucker Punch is bad. Might get it when it's bargain bin status.

-Tlou 2 is a real good video game. The controls and mechanics are best in class and I would have never expected Naughty Dog to craft almost Arkane tier combat arenas. Only knock would be that it's 30fps I guess. Whenever Sony runs my pockets for a PS5 version, it will be in the same tier as MGSV/Max Payne 3/Vanquish. Best cutscenes/acting/voice acting/presentation in a videogame quite easily. Naughty Dog's artistry and ambition and crunch and budget is only rivaled by Rockstar(but ND games don't control like garbage). Compelling narrative that takes risks in a time when AAA games aren't supposed to do that. I hope they announce the PS5 port/Multiplayer that no one will play but swear is good but the servers will shut down before the PS6 comes out.

IIrc they reduced a ton of it's latency/input lag

Yeah, it's awesome. So much more responsive. I felt like I was hitting every active.

Really curious what people think when the beta tuning goes out wide. I think it makes the game play more like 2 or 3.

i wouldn't compare hades to transistor (which i loved) or bastion (which i hated) at all

and thank god its nothing like pyre

It's a good fit for sure. Not a huge bond fan, but they can pull it off for sure.

Also good that IO got new stuff lined up after parting ways with Squeenix.

IOI are a VERY good pick for a Bond game. the newer Hitman's, despite being excellent games, sometimes felt very Bond-ish which I feel did not fit the series, would've preferred a darker tone.
