Surprisingly, I think Street Fighter 6 could knock it out of the park and Capcom seems to be the only jpn dev that might take online play out of the stone ages. Iirc the netcode in MvCi was pretty good.
Tekken could go either way. I'd like to see an updated Tekken 7 with no loading and instant rematches at least.
