Right now there's story coop and survival.
Survival is basically horde mode with 4 players but I've been spending most of the time in Story Coop. It's pretty sweet.
The story coop is basically on how a storyteller, who has heard stories about the Ghost took it and did some embellishment regarding some details. So what you get are stories about the subquests you took in Ghost of Tsushima, mixed and incorporated with supernatural elements.
The new enemy types are really well done. Monks that give enemies around them incredible health regen, enemies you have to kill damn near simultaneously, extra thicc brutes, etc

They're definitely marketing it as a cyberpunk GTA, which is smart of them. It's been a long time since GTAV, people will bite hard.they've been marketing its rpg aspects for years, then they switched to its combat for a bit and now we're at its GTA-ness. No worries
Personally, I'm expecting it to land somewhere in between and I'm okay with it, provided the story and quests hold up to TW3's. The combat I expect to be along the lines of Deus Ex on cocaine, more loud than tactical. As long as the rpg elements make it interesting, I'm okay with that too.

I hope there will be eventually be a game or several games that dispel the notion that you need stats or other forms of increasing power to be an RPG. I don't think the mainstream is ready for that, though.

Disco Elysium almost gets there, though the skills are numerical and you "level" them up. Putting points into the them doesn't make you stronger, and putting too many points into a skill is detrimental more than it is beneficial.

Just roll with the punches. There is no real fail state to a dialogue check. You can either retry them after leveling up the necessary skill or take the alternative outcome, depending on the type of skill check. Just keep your health and morale in check as you can get a game over from either of those reaching zero from a failed check.
The last 5 mins of convos are recorded so they can be sent into PS5 mods for reports.

fyi when you're in mortal damage in disco the game gives you like 10 seconds to press the button to heal, it's super hard to actually die
