I haven't watched it yet, but I assume they talk about how the SPUs had limited instruction sets? They can do very little but they do that very little exceedingly well.
A similar thing happened with the PS2's hardware-based particle accelerator, iirc.

guys, I like to nitpick here and there. it's not like I hate EVERYTHING.
Really enjoying Into the Breach right now. That game is good. Good like FTL. And after 15 hours you move on and never return to it again. Captain Tsubasa is also all right. The gameplay is shite, but so has FIFA been for ages. And Tsubasa is just the right amount of anime.
Not that much to look forward to right now that has been officially announced, is there? God of War Ragnarök I guess, but more from a visual and "next gen capability" standpoint. Excited to see what Naughty Dog , Kojima and Respawn are up to next - Rockstar just in terms of audacious graphics and world building.

Got round to giving HZD a go tonight. One of the most wretched PC ports I've ever owned and tonight is the first time it didn't crash on load up. It then crashed in the starting menu instead. Finally got it all working and it's going fine at last. Seems decent but doubt it'll keep me interested to the end.

Dragon Age Inquisition is that game that I have have started multiple times and never got on with it. I bought the Deluxe version when it was 2£ on PSN, because I was a big fan of Origins and believe it or not, Inquisition was considered GOTY back then. How? The game is so bad on so many levels, it defies all logic.
