@Yurt, The Silent Chief:
All weapon attacks and magic spells will have "different sensations through the adaptive triggers" and parries will be felt through haptic feedback. Even pulling levers and opening gates will result in different sensations.
By Freewheelin Go To PostPlaying Carrion on Switch, this is a pretty cool game.
What is it.
By DiPro Go To PostWhat is it.It's a game where you play as an alien monster, eating people in violent ways lol. The layout of the game is similar to a Metroidvania.

Suspend SaveI don't hate this, it's good, but now save portals don't feel like 'bonfires' anymore. That's a whole lotta tension gone
You can pause the game at any time to save the game from the menu screen. If play is interrupted, you can continue playing by selecting “Continue” on the title screen.

Spent about 10 hours with BG3.
-Most of your party members have a big ass attitude but with time and conversation to either soften a little or turn full bitch mode if you go for a route they disapprove. Only Gale is a all round good guy with a great attitude to life.
-In Original Sin you had some ambush combats you could avoid if you knew about them but they'll always happen. Here thanks to being able to see very far and amazing mobility with the camera, you can kind of spot them since the trigger for combat is a little closer.
I did note that I avoided one ambush by taking the long route onnly for those cunt goblins to follow me there. Right Ol' Cunts dem goblins.
-Did notice some bugs but they hotfixed a couple really quick. Don't quicksave when one of your party (I play MP) is still in a dialogue or it breaks the save function. Play it in Vulkan for better fps (Nivida 1080 gets 100 avg fps on Ultra)
-Having every character have a jump function is so much better than screwing around with teleport & portal gloves.
-There's so much voiced dialogue in this already it's insane and there's so many ways to approach it. The only thing I mind for the moment but that was also an issue in Original Sin: When in MP, the player who initiates the conversation chooses all options with the other players able to listen if they want. That's good but when an option appears for a Strength check and me being a Ranger I'll probably fail that. Why can't I use that Berserker with 18 STR for that?
-Short rest will be your friend, I've been taking plenty of damage and healing potions get expensive.
-When you go to camp, everyone you've friended will be there so you can exchange partymembers on the fly for upcoming fights etc etc..
-The combat itself is turnbased but with MP the human players take turns together, so it can be a big buggy when you think the round is done but the other player is still doing something so you're left waiting.

By Flutter Go To PostBecause digital edition is a scam with those new game prices.
By Daz Go To PostBecause digital edition is a scam with those new game prices.Nah its because thry produced so little of them.
The real news is ps5 demolishing xbox so much in the us. Thought itd be more even.
By sy Go To PostNah its because thry produced so little of them.I am not sure the sample size is big enough to draw that conclusion - but hopefully the sales gap isnt too big - other wise Phil is going ask Uncle Nadella for another 8 billion to buy....Square or something.

Rubbish survey to be fair. Sample size is 511 and only 15% of those managed to preorder a next gen console. So those proportions represent the purchasing choices of 77 people.
Given how low that is I think you would want to capture the initial purchasing intentions of everyone at the start of the survey, regardless of whether they were successful or not and separate to what they ultimately purchased. Because there will undoubtedly be a proportion who bought what was available to them not what they initially wanted. And this is why the digital vs disk proportions I would expect are more representative of availability than desirability.

By Yurtlicious Go To Postin less OH BABY news…I image these "suspend saves" are like ones that have been implemented in mobile games for years where you can only load from them once. It is for the occasion where if you need to stop playing but there is no normal save point around you can do the suspend save and pick back up later. But since you can only load from it once, it prevents save scumming.
what the hell is THIS….

That is my impression of what they are going for, anyway.
By Laboured Go To Post!I would rather they just release all those games on current consoles. Who has space for yet another plastic box they’ll use once then stow away.
By Haz Go To PostActually having that completed with this much time remaining before release is a very good thing. It should mean that the meat and potatoes of the game are in and they are now filling it with side-systems and content.
This bodes well for completion, hopefully it’s not too long of a wait then.
Bought Control. Just to see what it looked like, I turned everything on high, in DX12, with Ray Tracing on. Fam, what in the hell. Absolute sorcery. Really got me eyeing these new GPU's too.
Running on a 3950x and a 2070. Now, to actually play it...gonna have to change things lol. More of a fps guy, then anything else, but I think I want to spend time in photo mode too. I am amazed.
Yes, plz.
