By Eternity Go To PostIt does not even play like Devil May Cry anymore, feel like some cheap bayonetta rip-off. Capcom running out of creativity.got to have at least a half truth for a successful troll.
the football thread keeps disappointing me
mans said dmc5, which plays exactly like dmc3/4 plays like bayonetta
By Punished* Go To PostI really recommend it and by coincidence I started replaying it today, having bought it on launch but never finished it. Still holds up very well.REmake 2
I remember it came out of nowhere, no real hype for it. Ah, 2012, I was so full of potential back then.
That I'm playing Dishonored means I'm putting my second run of RE2 on the backburner. I feel I got my £8s worth out off it anyway.
There's another game I need to get cracking on :(
I'm a Bayonetta stan and 2 doesn't even play like Bayonetta 1. It plays worse, even if it is "faster".
Bayonetta 1 is closer to DMC 3, 4, and 5 (and why wouldn't it be), then Bayo 2 is to Bayo 1. The franchise needs Kamiya back on it.

So you purchased Spider Man on PS4
Your options are:
Already have Physical PS4 copy ---> Insert disc into Standard PS5 and play with whatever the PS5 boost mode enhances.
Already own Digital PS4 copy ---> Download on the PlayStation Store and play with whatever the PS5 boost mode enhances.
Purchase Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for PS5, which includes MM and Spider Man Remastered (With a huge amount of enhancements and work)
for $20 more than the Miles Morales standalone copy?
Spider Man Remastered Standalone for PS5 is not available at all, correct?
Where is the issue exactly? Is it the bolded part?

By domino Go To PostKirby has this many characters wtf?Yes, it has a ton. There is even a cartoon of the series where they get more of a realized character than just the games.
All I know is Kirby MK and King Dedede
By Haz Go To PostThis is the first time in years they can be excited about something, Don Mattrick’s stupidity lingered too long. Let them have their fun lol. At least all 3 of them are doing different things this generation. It’s honestly kind of refreshing. You know, they easily had their chance to get their shit together for launch to get people excited.
They partially did by showing all those titles from 2022 and beyond, but they also deserved alot of backslash for the type of presentation, the non-existing launch lineup, their abysmal showing of their flagship franchise etc.
I don't know why people always gotta make these issues black and white. They did show titles to be excited about with studios that actually know what they're doing. Not to mention alot of incredible good decisions regarding the hardware, features and overall business decisions.
It's FAR from the clusterfuck that the Xbox One launch with Mattrick was. For all the abuse that Spencer got regarding the launch, he's nowhere near Mattrick.
So it's not really comparable at all.
People can be sceptical, critical and everything about the last presentation, but let's not act like it was a total downer and everything should be questioned.
If people need a publisher aquisition to be happy and cheer on something that will have far more negative effects and could push more of that shit in traction, they can all get fucked.
I got no problem with all those studios acquisitions they did in the past. Those studios needed a strong partner to grow and got some stability. I'm really glad for the employees about job safety and the ability to actually develop something they really want to.
I would have also accepted the Warner Brothers acquisition, simply because it looked like the parent company didn't care anymore and they were looking for a buyer.
However, buying a healthy publisher like Bethesda isn't really something to cheer on. They did release on every platform and now it's reduced to 2 platforms and their ecosystem.
I just don't want to see a future where certain platform holders have the majority of IPs instead of a broad landscape with alot of different publishers operating on their own strength.
I don't wanna see a Netflix like model, where it's quanitity over quality just to fill the release schedule.
Not to mention the side effects. Bethesda isn't the biggest issue, since they mainly did games. The publishing arm will get slashed sooner or later though. That's something that will only continue to happen on a far bigger scale, if those acquisitions continue.
For example the majority of japanese publishers got quite alot of stuff that's nowhere near gaming. Konami for example got an entire gym chain.
All those things would be axed or sold or whatever.
I honestly don't want to see another huge publisher being sold, especially those that are healthy.
Over the course of the last generation, people we're pretty happy. More publishers and developers put their stuff on nearly every platform available. PS4, PC, X1 and even the sucess of the Switch made alot of devs reconsider. You could play on nearly every platform and get the games you wanted, but now it's looking more like those steps will be reversed.
Monopolies just suck.

The first one isn't really a huge one. People were expecting to get all the shit for free. I don't know why everyone is expecting CDPR like moves from everyone, but it's not gonna happen.
I'm willed to pay, if they actually put in alot of work for that remaster. The thing is that they just haven't shown shit to justify it yet.
The real and big issue is that it's tied into the purchase of Miles Morales. I don't know who thought that was a brilliant idea. Just give people the option to purchase it as standalone version.
The fact that Xbox spectacularly underdelivered in the games department for an entire generation, and Phil still retained the hardcore xbox fans support boggles the mind. He consistently kept feeding them lies and promising that the next E3 would be the one. Phil failed to build anything substantial from within in regards to games, instead they went the parasitic route and bought out a massive publisher and locked out a slew of titles away from the largest console consumer base. You had threads calling Sony "Anti-consumer" for locking down one timed exclusive here and there, or locking a character to their platform, yet there is barely a peep from the media, youtubers and those same people about this deal with Zenimax.
Phil is the guy that said exclusives are counter to everything they stand for. But I am certain that we will not see any titles from Zenimax outside of the two Sony paid timed exclusivity for, ever appearing on the PS5.
Stunned at the cheerleading of parasitic tactics.
Phil is Dutch from RDR2.

Zenimax weren't all that healthy, quite a few misses with their output recently, even on high profile names (sales down even if quality remained consistent). Been looking for buyers for almost 2 years now because their 70+ y/o founder thinks it's time to move on. If they are for sale, someone is going to buy them.
This shit's been happening for a long time and it's all bare for everyone to see. As far as cheering for acquisitions, that's fanboy tribalism that's been happening for ages and is always gonna be there. Who cares. I don't really see the distinction between this bigger purchase and individual studio purchases as far as being worried for the health of the industry, but not because it's not bad or I somehow don't get the difference in scope, but because they are both symptoms of the same trend and people want to act like it's not. That only now devs and players are getting the short end of the stick. Please, it's happened in every industry and nothing we do will stop it.
Activision and Blizzard merging has as many downsides as something like this and we already saw that with the decline of a massive industry defining studio, and all the side effects of that consolidation of power, but because you can't point to a single platform that suddenly people miss out on, then it doesn't register to the same degree for everyone. It's dumb. Zenimax going Microsoft is just a time compressed version of the same things going on already everywhere else.
Even now we are talking like Phil and Xbox were a massive failure this gen. Nobody gets Zenimax and they continue their downward trend, or it evens out, or they become more successful, and when Altman passes it on or whatever they go public, split or they merge with one of the big publishers, or someone picks up the pieces. People still get laid off, consolidation still happens. Fuck, it's like people forget Bethesda started on broken PC RPGs and suddenly they had fuck you money and bought fucking id Software themselves.
People act like this is the beginning of the end of something, which it might be, and if we say it isn't it's because we can't see the big picture where all these companies are being consolidated and monopolies being formed, etc. I would contend they are the ones not paying attention. Google is knocking on the door, Apple always tip toes around it but still have massive purchasing power, Amazon are definitely already here and a few failed ventures are not going to stop them, they already own the biggest streamer taste-maker out there. Facebook are buying studios too, so far VR and streaming, but we know how few fucks they give. Tencent have a stake on a ton of publishers and developers, even some as big as Activision, Epic and Ubi.
With this move, yes, you can point to Microsoft and scream monopoly. A big three player with deep pockets outspending the other players out there... and still, they are still third place in marketshare. And still, gamepass might fail and Bethesda might not move the needle and someone else comes along and does it all the same. There are still tons of studios, publishers, more indies than ever, everyone is coming out with their own platform on PC, mobile no one pays attention to and games are out there being downloaded hundreds of millions of times and studios like Supercell and King are being sold for sums that rival or dwarf this purchase. The new big thing is always around the corner. Fortnite alone made Epic think they are big shit now they are taking on trillionaires, and fuck, they are... this shit's unpredictable.
Things aren't black and white, sure Penny, I get you and agree wholeheartedly. But saying, it would've been fine if it was WB or all the other dozens of studios that get purchased, or all the other ways market leaders use their muscle to fuck everyone else for themselves is fine too is kinda disingenuous to what's really going on here. For as far as I can remember, it has always been about who has what and who doesn't, and this is just another version of that. My first reaction to this was that MS barely evened things out now. That maybe now it's a contest. Like Khaleesi used to say, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sega, etc. they are just spokes on a wheel and now this one's on top, and now that one's on top, and on and on it goes fucking us all on the ground. No amount of nostalgia for the PS2 era where everyone already decided who is gonna win so it's fine, is gonna help. And it ain't a healthier version of the industry either.

Just picked whatever boons that would complete the prophecy achievements for the bonuses. First boss mauled me because sword was basically fresh out the box. Had no extra lives at all. Somehow shit started to come together all through the next two areas. Was just picking up resources because I expected to get wiped by the next miniboss. Got the life steal sword upgrade. Got the homie dionysus to hook me up with a solid DoT ability. Smacked Thesseus and Fren with damn near no damage. Fuck it. We going all the way.

By Pennywise Go To PostTwo issues.Third issue is they created new content for the Remaster that could be added to the PS4 version as an update (just costumes, photo mode, and trophies), but they aren't.
