By data Go To PostReplace Animal Crossing with Fall Guys or Doom Eternal and this probably isn't that far off from my list. Bounced off Animal Crossing pretty hard.i forgot about fall guys, not sure if it cracks my top 5 though, i only played it for like 3 days.
Doom Eternal bored me after an hour or so despite liking Doom 2016.
By HonestVapes Go To PostI guess? Honestly never tried an MMO.Fallout 76 is technically an MMO, I believe.
oh if we're counting the amount of effort that went into SMG1 rerelease then GOTY is the latest Silent Patch build for San Andreas.

The original Metal Gear Solid is reportedly getting a PS5-exclusive remake
And the three successive sequels could be getting remasters.
The original Metal Gear Solid is reportedly getting a full remake, and it's a PS5 console exclusive.
The new claim comes from YouTube channel RedGamingTech, a channel that typically specializes in gaming hardware. According to the channel's source, the original Metal Gear Solid will be getting a full remake (not just a remaster), and when it eventually releases, it'll be a console exclusive to the PS5, as well as coming to PC.
What's more, RedGamingTech's source claims that Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and 4 will all be getting HD remasters. The sequels won't be getting the same remake treatment afforded to the original game, and it's unknown whether these remasters will be console exclusive to the PS5 as well.

konami releasing the pc ports of mgs1 and 2 only to later make a remaster of 2 and also release that on pc

By HonestVapes Go To PostA quick Google search and it seems the community don't even know if it is or isn't.Correct me if I am wrong, but it has persistent worlds that hundreds of players can be on at one time, correct? That is all that is required to be an MMO, in my mind. Planetside 2 is also an MMO, imo. They don't all have to be hotkey-ability based RPGs like WoW and FF XIV.

24 players per server. Public servers aren't persistent, I think the pay-walled private servers are to an extent, sort of. In the sense that anything you put down in your own private server will stay around, but when you log out that server will close after an hour or so, even if you've got friends in it still playing. Anything they put down doesn't stay around, but will appear if they log back into the private server and if no one else has put something down in their absence.
Edit: Also private servers have an 8 person limit IIRC.

By HonestVapes Go To PostNope.Yeah, that isn't an MMO for similar reasons Destiny isn't an MMO, imo. Thanks for the explanation!

By Yurtlicious Go To PostHonestVape is devastated that he lost his MMO virginityMine was Asheron's Call and I'm so sad that since it came out six months after EQ, everything afterwards followed the EQ gameplay model instead of the AC gameplay model (which was pretty similar to Elder Scrolls). Sadly, the actual Elder Scrolls MMO is pretty garbage.

In no particular order, my favorite MMOs have been:
- Asheron's Call
- Star Wars Galaxies
- Vanguard (mostly for pvp fuckery)
- FF XIV

I played a lot of Asheron's Call. Sequel didn't do much for me. I always liked the patron system or whatever where you would take a lowbie under your wing and get benefits from them while providing them with items/resources and help.
-World of Warcraft
-Everquest 1 & 2(2's underrated)
-City of Heroes/Villains
-Warhammer Online
-Marvel Heroes
-Anarch Online
I've played a bunch of MMOs but those were the ones that stuck with me

By Yurtlicious Go To PostI've only played WoW briefly in high school and spent 90% of my time just PVPing lol. I'm not made for this PVE life and grinding for gearAsheron's Call had you build a character from a list of skills, similar to Elder Scrolls games. There were no character classes. Even "Jump" and "Run" were skills. For martial combat, you had two things to manipulate, aside from targeting. You could aim "High", "Medium", or "Low" via a button and also control the Speed/Power ratio via a slider. Magic was mostly projectiles that had travel speed and collision so you could literally dodge them. The world was also huge at the time. The size of Rhode Island in the US. And there were no loading screens while traversing across it. Truly open world MMO in 1999. Oh, and day/night and weather cycles. And player housing wherever you wanted. There's a ton more that made it great.
Star Wars Galaxies had a hybrid class+skill system that was similar to Diablo 2 skill trees except you were encouraged to mix and match skill trees at any time. It also had a ton of non-combat professions which made hanging out with people mechanically useful in addition to just the social aspect. It also let players create their own towns which they would need to defend against other players. Oh, there was also a Bounty Hunter skill tree that let you take on bounty missions placed on other players by other players. So, that was neat.
Vanguard was EQ-redux. What I really liked about it was playing with a good buddy of mine where we both picked under-used classes and played them in unorthodox ways (not intentionally). Because of that, we were able to "break" the meta and either win or stall out PvP fights we had no business being in and also take on PvE content that was intended for much larger and much higher level groups. The best thing, though, was that you could join other people's raid instances. The guild we were in would pop into each instance of a raid, do a /who command to see who was raiding in each one, and then we would join the instance of our most hated rivals, wipe them, then continue their raid while fending them off at the same time. That was terrific.
FF XIV is just a game that feels nice to play, full controller support, appealing graphics, fantastic music, and interesting story. A bunch of interesting fights that you don't have to clear endless amounts of trash to get to and the nicest MMO community I have ever experienced.

There are no plans currently to offer Marvel’s-Spider-Man: Remastered as a standalone. Players with a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 can purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition to experience Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered on PS5Sony on their Nintendo shit
I’ve never played any Metal Gear Solid games besides the original, so I’d love it if MGS2-4 were released on PS5.

By inky Go To PostCan nuBlizzard snap up Brevik's studio and give us a true Diablo pls?Brevik used to do Marvel Heroes livestreams when he was on that team and would give away future updates/heroes just whenever. Like there was NO yellow tape in that company which was kind of amazing.
I would want to see him direct a spiritual sequel to Diablo 2 but also a spiritual sequel to Marvel Heroes because they're honestly really different styles of games once you dig into them.
Wonder if Samwise jumps on board
