I'm much more intrigued by what Obsidian will be able to bring with Avowed, Pillars' Eora being such a diverse and rich world, and by whatever Fargo & co. get to work on after Wasteland 3. I'd even dare to say I'm more interested in the next TES than Fallout, having completely skipped Skyrim.

I'd start something like Horizon Zero Dawn for example, the main character would start talking about her village or something in the intro, and I'd turn it off as I didn't care for it and preferred to just start rocket league as I could just start it and play.
So games like Fall Guys, Rocket League, Fortnite etc. always got priority and I ended up not finishing or playing less than an hour of most single player games and rather put hundreds of hours into those quick fun multiplayer games.

The world building is still great.I love the exploring parts in their game and that was one of the few parts where F4 wasn't a letdown. Shooting also got better compared to F3, but that's about it.
And then you get to town building and stuff and I tune out.
Recycled music, a fucking abysmal storyline, mostly boring side quests and NPCs, not a fan of the factions and the settling stuff.
The settling stuff was really cool at the start and really felt like a good element, but it became boring rather quick. Same happened for the exploration part at some point, because all the other parts letting you down made you question sinking more time into it.
Still got the platin but I honestly wouldn't do it again for their next game, if it's similar in terms of quality.

Fallout 4 has a few things I like. I like the title screen, lol, I like the end of the first chapter when the Brotherhood shows up, I like finding new places and when there's environmental storytelling. I like the weapon and armor customization; not the junk collecting bits, but tailoring your weapons to your needs. And a few other things here and there. It's a 3/5 game. Skyrim is much more of a guilty pleasure, and there is a reason it has had such long staying power.
