By HonestVapes Go To PostI do not recommend that approach, speaking from experience
There hasn't been a console i didn't find in a store day 1.
By jjasper Go To PostNope. Just dumb. Anyway got an S from his website so he’s ok
good guy
By DiPro Go To PostThere hasn't been a console i didn't find in a store day 1.I suppose it depends on where you live. I queued up for a PS4 back in the day, waiting in line for 10 hours or whatever was so not the play.
By rodeoclown Go To PostNope, there's hardly any S units out there. Brick and mortar stores got like 1-2 units allocated. Online is really strongly in favor of the X, too.
It's the $299 console that exists in theory.
Series S is still available on Amazon UK, whereas Series X was unavailable there pretty quick I think
By Vini.lad Go To Postremake?A port of some kind.
By inky Go To PostI was gifted a copy of Skies years ago and I still feel bad about never opening it

By Nonja Go To PostAmazon don't take money on preorders from you until they dispatch it, right?Correct.
By Hitch Go To PostI wish I liked roguelikesthis is the one
By DY_nasty Go To Postspelunky ain't even goodI will respect your opinion, and pray that you one day see the error of it.

Is there a status effect in Hades that makes it so you can only run in four directions, or is that me moving the mouse accidentally and then the game defaulting to the limitations of keyboard input?
I don't think I've liked a roguelike anywhere near as much as Dead Cells. Just felt so much better than the others to me
Hades looks cool really, and when you die something interesting actually happens in the story.
I'm a sucker for their narrator whispering in my ear through the joystick gimmick

There’s a roguelike for everybody.
Spelunky was the first one I got proper into, played a bit of BoI around the same time. Then this year I dumped probably 300 hours into BoI, fully 100% completed it, had numerous top 20 and top 10 daily runs and a 20+ win streak.
To say the least, I really enjoy playing it.
I’ve haven’t branched out much further than those two though. Didn’t like Rogue Legacy all that much, or Enter The Gungeon.
I think I tried Dead Cells but never played more than a hour if I did.
I also never really got into the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne despite on paper, those being my cup of tea.

the chalice dungeons were nothing short of a disgrace.
they had unique bosses and weapons unfortunately so I had to go through them

Spelunky is cool but I suck ass at it
Risk of Rain is gud
Slay the Spire is goat card builder roguelike
FTL is the GOAT full stop
Stuff like Gungeon, Dicey Dungeons, Hand of Fate, Darkest Dungeon are good for a weekend too. It's a versatile structure/genre to play 5-10-100-1k hours on a game by game basis.

By Freewheelin Go To PostCorrect.Cheers Dean. Get fucked everyone else.
Put 50 hours and got all the achievements for it. Anything Subset games makes is indie GOTG material.
By HonestVapes Go To PostThanks, Vapes.
Dead Cells is one of the best controlling games I've ever played
Just wish it was a normal action platformer with metroidvania elements, like guacamelee

Microsoft may be known as a business software giant, powering most of the world's PCs and building backroom technology and tools. But it's also spent more than $10 billion buying development studios behind some of the most popular video games in the world. To Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, it's all about the future of software.
Though not known as a gamer himself, Nadella's made big bets on the video game industry, buying Minecraft maker Mojang for $2.5 billion shortly after he was named CEO in 2014. Then he bought five more studios in 2018, including role-playing game maker Obsidian, known for the space adventure The Outer Worlds and the well-received South Park: The Stick of Truth. In 2019, it bought Double Fine, maker of adventure game Psychonauts.
"You can't wake up one day and say, 'Let me build a game studio,'" Nadella said in an interview after the company announced its $7.5 billion cash purchase of ZeniMax Media, which owns several industry-leading game developers, including Bethesda Softworks and Id Software. "The idea of having content is so we can reach larger communities."
That's why Microsoft will consider buying even more video game companies in the future, he said, and why it continues to invest in its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
