By Laboured Go To PostI'm not trying to be a cunt here, but you see the bits that would be nearly impossible if you hadn't played it many times over and learned all the patterns (like most arcade games of its ilk)? That's Dark Souls that is.
Yup. I could 1 credit this back in the day with 0 damage 0 ninjutsu usage.
Ask old man facism to do that today and he'd complain his knees hurt.

Some whispers a KOTOR remake thing is in development.
It would be a Knights of the Old Republic project that would integrate elements from the first two games in order to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon. Not necessarily a remake, so much as a re-imagining.
Looks fun. I'm just happy to see a decent looking arcade football game. Give me more football games that aren't FIFA or PES, the world is ready for a new Football Kingdom.
just tried out vr for the first time.
it was a simple, low-res demo in which you go up the elevator and walk down a board off the edge of a building.
but it was pretty amazing. i knew i was in a room, but it felt like the real thing—shaky legs and fear of falling down included.
i am a believer.

By Laboured Go To PostSome whispers a KOTOR remake thing is in development.I don't think EA has any developers that could pull this off. I definitely wouldn't trust modern day Bioware with it.

Bioware is working on DA4 and the pre-production on a new ME.
ME Remaster is seemingly also not done via Bioware.
By Mystikal McGhee Go To Postthe other dev that could has been bought by msYeah, I think Obsidian would be only ones I would trust to do it right. Josh Sawyer directed Kotor would be awesome.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostNow imagine jerking off Gordon Freeman as Alyx in vr
would make him bust for sure.
By Mystikal McGhee Go To Postmass effect killed biowareyou mean after they were bought by EA?
well tbh mass effect 2 killed bioware, they were never the same after
Naw, Mass effect 2 did that shit.
Game was the end of them. After that game all they did was sip their own koolaid.

By blackace Go To Postyou mean after they were bought by EA?well that certainly didn't help and I remember reading that EA sorta changed the direction of me 2 to be more action focused
By Mystikal McGhee Go To Postwell that certainly didn't help and I remember reading that EA sorta changed the direction of me 2 to be more action focusedI can only assume they wanted more of that for 3
By Mystikal McGhee Go To Postwell that certainly didn't help and I remember reading that EA sorta changed the direction of me 2 to be more action focusedKinda true, kinda false.
Mass effect 1's combat system basically got scrapped entirely and thrown together in the last few months of development. EA giving them a "focus" on fixing something broken wasn't necessarily bad. Dropping everything from the RPG side wasn't on EA really.
By blackace Go To PostIt actually helped 2 quite a bit… 3 was a mess3 was basically dead space'd
When it released, I was super into Mass Effect 2, but I don't think it aged well. It's a linear corridor shooter with some rpg elements. The shooting is much improved over ME1 and the writing is still good in spots, but it lost a lot that rpg jank charm by doing things like ditching equipment and getting rid of the exploration element.
Collecting the crew and doing their loyalty quests is better than anything in ME3.
Who cares about that giant robot, when everything else was fun.

So despite the ending in ME3 I actually think it plays a lot better than the previous 2, especially the combat.
I mean it even had nudity.

I think ME3 actually has some nice moments for characters like Wrex, Tali and Mordin. The writing isn't as sharp as ME1, but it's about the same as ME2, I think, even with all the problems people have re the endings and turning everything you've done for three games into a single conversation choice at the end.
By Laboured Go To PostSo despite the ending in ME3 I actually think it plays a lot better than the previous 2, especially the combat.Mass Effect 2 may as well have been gears of war.

I don't dislike 3, but the problems it has are waaaay bigger than the ending which everyone focused on.
All this shit and I'd still buy a remaster in a heartbeat though.

Ah Mass Effect 1 was magical for me, my first Bioware game and WRPG I think and IN SPACE...I was in awe the whole game.
2 played much better though but it lost its luster
By DY_nasty Go To PostBrave opinion. Dragon Age 2 didn't deserve all the hate it got.the combat and gore were super fun and I don't mind claustrophobic settings so to speak.
Like sure, make the whole game in one city, like in movies, as this usually means some uber creativity involved to keep your interest throughout.
...but they didn't really do that, copypasted shit left and right lmao NO

By DY_nasty Go To PostBrave opinion. Dragon Age 2 didn't deserve all the hate it got.I never actually played through it.
Loved the first one though.
Maybe EA will give us remaster collections not only for ME, but also DA and hopefully Dead Space.
By DY_nasty Go To PostBrave opinion. Dragon Age 2 didn't deserve all the hate it got. It’s actually impressive once you realize it was made from scratch in like 9 months. I thought Inquisition was good time.
