Beat RE3 with a 9 total time and 8 hour playtime lmao. Had a blast and immediately went for seconds. Fuck Hunters Betas tho.

speaking of, I ditched my healer a long time ago. It was actually much faster to just frantically throw around potions
Nightmare mode in RE3 is scary af in spots. Everything is 50x more stressful. It remixes enemies and adds stronger ones in locations that regular ass zombies weren't present. Everything hits way harder and Nemesis is absolutely ridiculous. He's on your ass as soon as he sees you, in full sprint. More obstacles are put in your path, when he gives chase. Item boxes can definitely be random.
I think some of what Nightmare mode does, should have been applied to Hardcore. Then they could have remixed things further, in Nightmare.
I do have one critique tho. All of the bosses are manageable and you can break the mechanics of some, with pure damage. The final fight boss tho? At the moment, it feels like you have to play perfect. I'll beat him, but there is zero margin for error in this fight. This wasn't an issue in Hardcore.

Watching Resi 3 on YT because I'm too spooked to play it.
Game looks fucking good tho. Capcom really on top of their game graphically with their recent games. DMCV, Resi 7/2/3. They're really nailing it.

Back in the day, I had to watch one of my older brother's play Resi 3 because that shit gave me fucking nightmares for years.
Only one I've played on my own is Resi 4.
Edit: Funny thing is, HL: Alyx put the shits up me in parts yet I could stomach that. In VR no less. Resident Evil though? Nah, can't do it. Played the demo for the new one and near had a heart attack.

Tapped out and went to the shop. I hate that final fight on Nightmare, more than Urizen's nonsense in DMC 5 on DMD. Threw the dodge item on and killed it. I'll finish that fight without items, at some point. Still, beat everything else in Nightmare without "cheats".
Started Inferno. I'm pretty sure that I can no damage / no save, up to Carlos' 1st section. Probably going to do the same thing, and No Shop item it, until the final boss...cause fuck that thing.
Edit: Hmmm. Just saw Bawk practicing on Inferno, with no items. You can probably two cycle it. I might speedrun Inferno mode. Lol

Tried the free MP CoD weekend stuff since I already have warzone installed. Goodness me, who picked those maps? Atlas superstore is very mediocre but Shoot House must be one of the worst maps since Shipment. Mindnumbingly bad.
Just played Rime for the first time and the story made no sense

What's the deal with the zombies being so tanky in RE3? Like 5 headshots, to put them on the floor followed by about 10 knife slashes to finish them off. Seems excessive.

My final thoughts on this:
I don't think there was a budget issue, or lack of understanding of game design, or even a misunderstanding of what made the original so special to so many. However, RE3make really could have used one more "Hospital" section. I don't care about the clocktower or anything else that may or may not have been "cut" (I think the OG is kinda mediocre, but whatever), but it could have used one more area that encourages exploration: with or without Nemesis...
Speaking of, he is overpowered here. I thought the original was a nuisance and annoying af, to be real. In this version, he'd have to be nerfed, to work in buildings. Mr. X works, because he's designed to push you to your next goal and encourages on the fly thinking, thanks to how meticulously placed enemies in the RPD are. Nemesis isn't about that. Nightmare and Inferno turns him into the Xenomorph, including with insta death, if you don't dodge. You can't quick turn around him and he increases the lethality of the environment, by making those RE4 goons. Indoors, fighting him is akin to fighting G1 in RE2make (which ain't great, at all). Maybe there could have been a compromise. X already exists, and the best part of the game doesn't include him (Hospital). So, he really isn't necessary. It is what it is. I do understand people's complaints, even if they don't affect me.
The game is built for speedrunning, but RE2 actually encourages it more, on a level different than just the superficiality of seeing lower numbers. At the risk of sounding elitist, it took me a long ass time to be able to clear Leon B in 56 minutes and 4th Survivor in less than 7:40. It started, because getting an S+ plus meant that you had to play honest and get fucking good. Nobody and I do mean absolutely nobody is clearing Inferno or Nightmare, sub hour, with less than 3 saves, without infinite weapons (at this present moment). Why is there a reward for it? RE2make is infinitely better at encouraging you to get better, at the game. RE3 needs S+ patched in.
Project Resistance needed to be in the base game's launcher and it needed to have a clear roadmap for the future, if this is supposed to fill in for a lack of a 4th Survivor / Tofu mode. I like it, but it's 2020, and other GAAS are more consumer friendly. Borderlands 3 had its shit day 1, and they are in constant communication with the community. This shit just got added in, with nothing to indicate that they have faith that it will live, until the next attempt is made. Speaking of...
Unless you enjoy seeing time fall, it's hard as shit to say that this should be $60 on release. I fucking love it, but it's lighter than RE2make is, and the lack of an S+ and Resistance being separate, only adds to the illusion that it's not worth full price. A lot of folks didn't seem to know what they were talking about, in regards to the clear time, but unless you search for all of the bobbleheads, it is on the shorter end of RE games: with less actual incentives to replay it.
The lack of unlockables is mind boggling. Where are all of the costumes? RE2make had plenty, Rev 2 had plenty. Why is this so lite on them.
In terms of mechanics, being stun locked sucks: straight up. Why are we worried about realism, when Jill turns into Bayonetta, whenever something breathes in her general direction (it's balanced on Nightmare and Inferno)? You take to many deaths, at the hands of the game taking control from you. There are way to many one hit kill scenarios for this to be a thing. The final boss sucks, because of this.
Simple shit like menuing and controls took a downgrade from RE2. The camera is fucking terrible in the second to last boss fight. It has to be bugged. If it isn't...I got nothing.
A remake is precisely that: something that is remade. That's it. This whole, it's not fully faithful or it's missing X, Y, Z, is some childish videogame only shit to me. That being said, people aren't unfounded in their criticisms. I can't even knock them, frfr. Maybe I'd feel as strongly, if the OG was my favorite (not even top 3). Still, it's a great game that isn't as expertly crafted as RE2make is. One that hits higher highs than the OG in some areas, but also doesn't live up to it in others. If you don't like Project Resistance, there is even less to it.
TLDR: It's great and I have already spent a ton of time with it, but $60 is a hard af sell, especially in these trying times. YMMV. Uncharted RE isn't a bad comparison, at all.

Shoothouse/Shipment/Rust are really just grind maps for XP.
I will say, RE3 Inferno is going to have one of the most GDLK RE speedruns, ever...if any runner can actually complete it.

bought both god of dad and death stranding and death stranding has been the clear winner so far, between the forced "press square to give your son somethign to justify his existence", the over the shoulder camera, the kinda mediocre combat, the copy pasted bosses, god of war may be one of the most generic games ive played
