I do. Things aren't looking good anywhere, Warner Bros already took a chance on Tenet that hasn't paid off and this has been made with the possibility of having a franchise in mind.
They need to release it at the exact time for it to make a profit and December isn't looking like it.
Spielberg's West Side Story has also moved up a year.
No one is going to release any big budget movie this year.

Dune is the only movie I absolutely have to see in imax. Once I’ve seen it they can shut theaters down for good.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYou should. It's a really great horror movie, it's shame that we will never a true director's cut because Paramount had them cut down some of the more brutal scenes and by the time the movie became a cult hit, the original cut footage was severely damaged.Enjoyed it. Good movie with a great Sam Neil once again.
I did watch more older horror movies over the last few days.
In between I needed something light and watched a classic with Down and Out in Beverly Hills. Always a pleasure to watch.
In terms of horror flicks, I've watched an older Argento movie called Opera. Wasn't the biggest fan, allthough the camera work was excellent.
Just a normal slasher with a different kind of perspective.
Next up was The Church from Michele Soavi. Another one that didn't really convince me.
Phantasm 1, since I've never really seen any of it. It was decent, but not outstanding and I wonder why they had 4 more sequels.
Last two were Dance of the Demons 1 and 2. The first one was good, kinda typical 80s horror in terms of style and everything. The sequel was pretty lackluster in every way and it didn't help that most of the actors from the first just appeared in different roles.
Just finished The Dirt . Pretty good. Guy who played Nicki did a great job especially with the overdose scene.
Finally watched hereditar, and damn, that was way better than I had imagined. One of my favorite horror movies the last many years

Yeah, love it. Other than the last 5/10 mins.
Need to watch it again (haven't seen it since it came out in cinemas), but I remember being disappointed by it. Collette was brilliant tho.
Think it just goes from being a supremely engaging tale about sins of the past to generic cult shit. Midsommar does the cult stuff at the end better, even if it’s not as good a film.
Aster probably is in a fuckin’ cult tho. Loves that shit.

I didnt even know he was the one, who made The Strange Thing About the Johnsons. That movie was... Something.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostNo, I would say they will push it to March.Yes, I hope they move it to March when coronavirus is over.
🌝
By Punished* Go To PostYes, I hope they move it to March when coronavirus is over. Not saying it will be over by March or that the movie will be released then but that will probably be the next date they will announce.

It's kind of interesting how Universal were the first ones to take it seriously and pushed Fast 9 a year forward and that might not even be enough.
Tried to watch Dawn of the Dead 2004 since I haven't seen it since high school and when I saw it then, I hadn't seen the original.
Why didn't we stop Snyder then and there? Couldn't even make it halfway through.

So I finally got round to watching the Assembly Cut of Alien 3 on Blu-ray after really not liking the theatrical cut and I have to say, it’s a better cut. It’s more cohesive and interesting, and the way Weaver plays Ripley is really fragile and broken which makes sense in this cut. There’ also some gorgeous cinematography which really lends itself to the harsh planet the film is set on.
Unfortunately, the (early) CGI for the Alien itself is proper distracting and took me out of the experience. Also, there’s no interesting characters apart from Ripley. You could argue that’s the point, but I would have liked to have seen a little more character development.
So all in all, an intriguing failure and one that could have ruined Fincher’s career before it even got going. Fortunately, it didn’t and look at the direction (😏) he has taken off, some amazing films to come.

Alien 3 being a production clusterfuck made Ficher into who he is today. There's a reason that man bails on so many projects and it's because he won't let studios interfere with his projects all because of his Alien 3 experience. It's also why he won't do franchises.
Franchises are just bad.

People tying their identity to fake stuff not being able to dissociate when engaging in criticism either

top 1 dumbest plot twists. thought it got so fucking silly.
I thought his Blade Runner 2049 OST was pretty boss. Not as memorabel but perfectly fitting the tone & pace of the movie.
watched demolition man for the first time. wesley snipes carried the whole movie. Would be unwatchable without him.
also, am I the only one who was expecting an old boy twist revealing sandra bullock to be stallone's daughter?
