Faves of mine that I think are underrated/underseen:
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Killing Them Softly
Bad Boys II
Godzilla (2014)
The Nice Guys
Widows
Rope
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
A Most Violent Year
Magic Mike XXL
The Consequences of Love
The Fall
The Rocketeer
Event Horizon
In The Mouth Of Madness
Wasn't overly enamoured with the Consequence of Love.
Was looking up Sorrentino's next film entitled The Hand of God.

The director is also a self-confessed sports nut, once noting that he survived a tragic accident that killed his parents when he was 16 only after he declined to go on a trip with them because he wanted to watch Maradona play for Naples against a rival Italian club.Blimey
Looking through my letterboxd for underappreciated films:
The Fountain
The Dig and The Hole in the Ground as two I found thematically interesting.
No one talks about the Wild Pear Tree bit I really enjoyed that one too.

They predict that Mulan has made more than 250M$ in the US from PVOD. That would be a fantastic number for them.
Desperado is fucking great. Love it.
It’s a grotesque excessive horrible masterpiece m8
By Laboured Go To PostI'm somehow both amused and distraught that Bad Boys 2 is in fact on that list.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostAnd 100% of that $250mil is directly to Disney and not theater chains.

By Pennywise Go To PostReally good pick. You should. It's a really great horror movie, it's shame that we will never a true director's cut because Paramount had them cut down some of the more brutal scenes and by the time the movie became a cult hit, the original cut footage was severely damaged.
Haven't seen Event Horizon yet.

so good. Can't believe Aronofsky made it.
Son of Saul
Hunger
I don't know if they are underappreciated or overlooked but these are two movies I enjoyed.
Had no idea there was some type of irish or scottish(or whatever accent this is) uprising.

@Punished
An unsurprisingly poor year at the london film festival this time round, only about 8 films actually screening on cinemas and the rest just on demand, and not 15 minutes after tickets released all of the screened films have sold out
