Outside of he monumental animation. Akira is an incoherent mess of a movie. The manga(which Otomo drew while heading up the movie) is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Releasing Tenet at this time was a costly mistake to WB.
Mulan is rumoured to have done on VOD more than what Tenet did on it's really US OW (I'm not counting that stupid 11 day weekend that WB is throwing around).
Yeah, that 20M was always bullshit. I had predicted 14M in a previous post but it's even lower.
I miss having new movies to watch but now is definitely not the time to release big budget movies because there's no way you're going to get that money back.
You might make a small portion on VOD but not enough. We only had one true success in VOD since the lockdown started and it was Trolls 2 with 100M$, nothing else had a big impact.
Mulan did about 31M according to some analysts, which isn't great.

I think Lion King II is severely underrated, yeah. Dunno it it’s as good as the first, but sure.

it was intriguing at the start, but then you lose interest because it's all so dry and technical. towards the end, when the stakes are seemingly high, you actually wish you'd cared, but you don't.
it has no heart; you don't really care for any of the characters, not even debicki's even though she gives the only noteworthy performance in the film.
branagh does a really bad imitation of malkovich. a laughable villain, really.
and washington just can't cut it; that was a really poor performance. he just lacks the presence and skill to carry a film.
