Speaking of Wild movies, Princess Mononoke was mostly great. Loved the character designs especially Ashitaka and Eboshi. Never expected the Deer God to look so frightening. The faces it made during the confrontation near the end were very fucking freaky.
Fantastic animation from the start but this is when I perked up
Key Animation: Toshio Kawaguchi

Watched Compliance about an hour ago. Brutal film that would seem absurd if it wasn't based on actual events that happened to dozens of people.
I like the lead from Bitch in Apt. 23 with Krysten Ritter.

Anyone seen Redline here? Top quality animation.
You can even watch it completely on youtube just like Sy.
But I do recommend the Bluray version.

By Pennywise Go To PostNo suprise.yeah i cant wait for this one
That's exactly the type of movie that didn't need a sequel.
Speaking of korean zombie flicks, there's the one called #Alive that is coming to Netflix later this year. Was quite popular in Korean cinemas despite rona.
By Flutter Go To Postyeah i cant wait for this oneIt's been out since last week. Should be on Netflix next week I believe.
By Pennywise Go To PostYou should watch this.Imagine thinking sy hasn't seen this
By Pennywise Go To PostYou should watch this.I honestly can't watch/read anymore of the author's work after finding out he is a pedophile. =/
By Kibner Go To PostI honestly can't watch/read anymore of the author's work after finding out he is a pedophile. =/Up to you, but he had zero involvement with the OVAs.
They're based on his works and are basically a prequel, but that's about it.
By Pennywise Go To PostUp to you, but he had zero involvement with the OVAs.It's also far better than the source material, which is mostly trash anyways.

For the record I still watch Polanski films

I was being deliberately facetious. I know you can't remove them (and in fact, a lot of, say, Woody Allen's shit is more fascinating or interesting because he's the weird fucking guy he is). I just wouldn't let something like that stop me from watching it if there was a way of doing so that didn't give them remuneration for it.
If my only option was 'I have to pay money for this' then fuck that.
Midnight in Paris is a pretty good film - I try not think of the weird shit the director did in his life.
By Pennywise Go To PostUp to you, but he had zero involvement with the OVAs.I had already bought the DVDs and watched them a decade ago before I found out. I wanted to rewatch some of the original series on Netflix a while back which is how I found out in the first place, iirc. But I didn't want to support him at all through those view counts so I just never started that rewatch.

By bud Go To Postit's such a rewatchable movie.Seen it loads of times, and every time - I am shocked when Carla Bruni appears.
Man I bet Timmy talks like that in real life and people around him have to spend a lot of energy keeping a straight face while he does it.
They messed John's character up so much.
Man, the marketing for TFA was disgusting use of bait and switch.

I still feel like there's a much bigger part of that story missing. He was clearly sold something very, very different from not only Disney but his own management too
The fact they added a female black character by his side so they can ride horses into battle together then hinted at her being "important" by being Lando's daughter must have been so fucking insulting.
My favorite thing about the Disney star wars was all the hype around phasma. People getting tattoos for a character that had 5 minutes of screen time and accomplished nothing.😆 At least boba Fett caught han

By i can get you a toe Go To PostBetween that and just having Rose just be all starry eyed towards him too after like 2 space hours in the second film was like ummm. The whole Rose thing was another can of worms - man Disney, Lucasfilms and Production have so much to answer for in handling this trilogy.
Oh and the background gay couple in the last 4 seconds of the film....

Watched the Headless Woman last night. Would've been better with an actual headless woman or a vampire hunter or something.

Love how outspoken Boyega is. Terrible choice to be producer/lead on PR2 as a vehicle for him, but it's miles better than being token poster boi in fucking JJ's Star Wars. Not gonna re-litigate the whole TLJ is "good" argument (it sucks ass), but that movie did him dirty as well.
Sending the minority characters on a long, boring c-plot and awkwardly pairing them together was just as bad, even if you wanna argue there was a larger theme to their story.
