I remembering seeing Priest, in theaters, with a group of friends. I think I remember being mad, because all of my homies fell asleep, and my stupid ass was the only one that watched it. Misery loves company. lmao
I walked out of Jurrasic World so I guess that would be my worst
but I sat through Terminator Judgment Day or whatever the fuck. That was definitely the worst. Not even fun to make fun of.

Recently? Star Wars TLJ
Multiple people wanted to leave but I think we all just gave up and figured we were obligated to see it through. Horrible, horrible film.
Before that, a good movie - Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Saw it with family. Awkward as fuck.

I fell asleep during the dark knight returns or whatever it's called
Woke up from the loud gunfire and explosions every now and then

By Perfect Blue Go To PostAh fair enough, I can see going there for that reason. I saw Moonlight in one of those places.Yea here they is only one cinema so the only way to get a good experience to pay premium for the VIP treatment.
The theatre we frequent often (or used to…) was the TIFF Bell LightBox, the main cinema for the film festival. It's a bit more high brow so the patrons tend to be older white folks and cinephiles. So good.
I think my worst is either The Box (some boring horror movie with the old guy from Saw) I think it might be the most boring 90 mins of horror ever.
Or Star Wars TROS, saw it in IMAX on the best possible seats and still got nauseous multiple times with all the quick cuts and flashing on the screen. The shittiness of the movie didn't help.
I would throw in Die Hard 4 aswell but I had a good buzz going on then so I'll allow it.

Transformers 2 is easily the worst film I've seen in the cinema. Fell asleep and woke up and there was still an hour and a half left. Haven't seen any of the following movies, it was that shit.
Worst cinema experience was getting drunk before meeting up with mates to watch American Pie when I was like 15 and then about 15 minutes in I had to go to the bathroom and puke and then passed out for the duration of the movie.
Worst thing I ever saw in cinemas was Dukes of Hazzard. We had gone as a group to see The Island, but one of our friends wasn't 15 and forgot to lie when asked her age. We had to watch Dukes of Hazzard instead, it was trash, and we got kicked out at some point.
I‘m trying to think but I don’t think I’ve had a really bad experience at the cinema. I make sure I have the snacks I need which probably helped a couple of times. A few of us saw one of the Fast and Furious films, that was probably the worst film I saw. It was the one with the never-ending runway. We smoked before going and when Vin Diesel did the jump catch thing one of my friends stood up and punched the air. That probably saved the experience.
Went to see jurassic park 2 at some midnight premiere showing when I was 7, with my moms hot friend and her brothers. Fell asleep instantly and still remember waking up when the credits were rolling, and she asked me 'so how did you like it' and i said something about how great it was. Then looked down on all my candy and soda which was completely untouched. 😰
Same, can't think of a really bad experience. Boring, sure, but those are always salvageable, when you're in good company.
What about best experiences? Mine has to be Benigni's La Vita E' Bella. Never been part of an audience that was so engaged, everybody was laughing and crying and it was impossible not to join in and empathize.
Theater was absolutely packed to the seams, which is another rarity in my cinema going experiences.

Worst cinema experience for me was going to see Saw 4. My sister in law (who is an absolute fucking div) bought us tickets as a gift even though we hadn't seen Saw 2 or 3. Get to the screen and someone is sitting in my seat so I ask him to move before realising that he was disabled and had to hobble off on crutches.
Film was just some bloke walking around a torture dungeon before getting murked. All the plot and twists were linked with the films I hadn't seen and after a couple of gruesome deaths the whole torture porn thing gets boring quickly.

Ahahahahahahaha
Was weirdly just thinking randomly this morning about how intractable the Saw movies got down the line, and thinking how much worse they would seem if you'd never seen the prior movies.

I frequently fall asleep at the cinema (mostly at Hollywood movies but also Tarkovsky's Nostalghia. Wrote up having slept for about an hour and there was an hour left).
Two bad experiences of the top of my head was going to see Knight of Cups with my normie friends who (correctly) hated it, and Lucile Hadžihalilović's Evolution which was an alright albeit disturbing film but they showed an insufferable short film about a car driving around a car park before it and multiple people left to see if we were in the right screen. Puts you in a bad mood before the main feature.
Oh, another bad experience was someone having a heart attack during the Belfast film festival. Pretty bad experience for the person, I'd say.

i remember watching 8 mile when it came out. a lot of kids in the theater got up out of their seats and let out screams of ecstacy during the final battle between jimmy "b-rabbit" smith jr. and clarence "papa doc." that was interesting.
best experience i've ever had was watching birdman at the kriterion in amsterdam. partly because of the date i was with, but mostly because of how awesome that cinema is and how into the movie everyone was. it was packed and it felt like everyone felt the same emotions at the exact same times throughout the movie.

Watched Jackie Brown last night for the first time in awhile. Probably my third favorite of his behind Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds. Blu-ray looks great too.
Gotta say these IMAX scenes in Dark Knight look ridiculous in 4K/HDR but I still find the cutting between aspect ratios to be jarring.
That's a lock on that makeup Oscar.

By bud Go To Posti spent the last 15 minutes trying to find his name, but yes; he reminds me so much of kind.I couldn't remember his name either but I knew he was Bing Bong.

this theme remains incredible.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostDouble feature last night of Fist of Fury and The Raid. Never seen the former but the latter is up there for the best action movie of the decade. The documentary style of filmmaking for action films is really top tier but it’s hard to get it right. Choreography is still absurdly good. Think I’m in the minority here but I prefer the second film though.Missed this but yes, The Raid is the best action movie in the last 20 years.
Fist of Fury was pretty dope and surprisingly funny with Lee in various disguises and the fight choreography was solid with some cool sound effects. This was the film that shot him up to super stardom. Bought the Bruce Lee Criterion Collection set last month and we are slowly making our way through it.
That's bullshit. Movie is going to be shown in a few countries starting tomorrow so spoilers will be online soon and even if that wasn't the case, is a fucking movie, no one is going to die because of spoilers but they could from watching it in a indoor theater.

By Not Go To PostIt's only in theaters right? Not like Bill and Ted or Mulan where the rip'll hit the Internet immediatelyYes, there won't be any VOD for many months. Neither WB would want that or the false god Nolan wouldn't want the poor plebs to have their first viewing of his latest masterpiece on a TV.
