By bud Go To Post.Do you think Charlie Kaufman was a fan of the Fargo TV series?
man i hope that Fred Hampton movie is good. i dont want to hear the discourse if it sucks lol
i also would've switched Lakeith and Daniel Kaluya's roles but thats just my personal preference.

By n8 dogg Go To PostIs out of sight one of the sexiest films ever made (made even more sexy by the fact soderbergh doesn’t even show rhe sex)
I say yes
it most definitely is.
i also thought wild orchid was very sexy. carre otis was so hot in that movie.
Don't know if I could take seriously lakeith in a more powerful role. He'd have to bulk up 9r something
By Laboured Go To PostLmao they really remade the Hitchcock classic? Christ
By n8 dogg Go To PostWell, they adapted the book again, that’s a little different.Technically yes but shush
Kind of wtfing about her being 30ish and him 30ish. Dude is supposed to be middle aged and her naive as fuck 20s comin' into a situation where the staff is like "who da fuck is this bitch."
Watched Contact earlier for the first time. Good film, enjoyed all the scientific discoveries in it. Interstellar was better tho
God I am so ready to see the movies made a few years from now with COVID as the main focus. Quirky group of teens gotta get the COVID vaccine, lonely pair of teens bond over social distancing, the possibilities for trash are endless.

Production is currently underway. The plot, written by the Brothers, revolves around six friends attending a virtual surprise party when the birthday girl suddenly goes missing.
It is a hybrid production, shot both virtually and on location. Beaumon, Benward, and Winter are also producing the project along with Nicole Smolen and Austin Seltzer.

I like both series, but I watched them recently and the raid deserves another shot at a sequel before John wick gets a fucking fifth one
By /bacon Go To PostDo you think Charlie Kaufman was a fan of the Fargo TV series?same town and same actor? wow

By reilo Go To PostAffleck remaking Chinatown, nobody needs that.He isn't. He is adapting "The Big Goodbye: Chinatown and the Last Years of Hollywood".
It's a novel that's been adapted many times. In fact the novel is better since it didn't have to abide by the Hays Code.
By GQman2121 Go To PostIs that new Rebecca, remaking Hitchcock's Rebecca?
😬
Again, it’s an adaptation of Du Maurier’s novel as opposed to a remake of Hitchcock’s, but of course the comparison will exist.
Remakes aren’t inherently bad, provided they find a fresh spin on things. No one ever complains a Shakespeare’s being remade!
By inky Go To PostVan Sant's Psycho remake was inherently bad.Never seen it but apparently it's shot for shot basically? lol yeah
By i can get you a toe Go To PostIt's a novel that's been adapted many times. In fact the novel is better since it didn't have to abide by the Hays Code.I don't know man. Like Nate says, the comparisons are going to come no matter what because it's such a classic. And Hitchcock has many, many classics, but this one in particular is one of a handful that truly stands out.
I don't know. I'm not against it. But it just seems like a difficult one to pull off.
Suspicion is the Fontaine film that should be given the modern full blast remake treatment. That's a good flick that's letdown by that ending, if you can even call it that.
It is a classic I'm just saying it might be interesting without the constraints Hitchcock had. He got locked into certain actors/actresses when he did films in Hollywood and a Hays Code.
By inky Go To PostVan Sant's Psycho remake was inherently bad. That’s what I’m saying lol. Remakes of Hitchcock films? Naw
Agree with the first half of your post. Hard disagree with the second - The Searchers is a classic, and John Ford is better than your fav director
What's the point of the like option on Letterboxd? Shouldn't the rating system essentially cover the same thing?

He had charisma. No one took him for a serious actor, he was a movie star when such a thing was possible.
He's starred in some of the best films ever made, despite being a poor actor. That's presence and choosing your roles.
I was just curious. I looked up where 10 minutes into Total Recall is. Arnie just said goodbye to Sharon Stone and left his apartment.
First two Terminators and Predator are genuinely great. Total Recall is fun as fuck. Commando and Running Man* are two of the goat campy action films
*book is shite

The Rock is the same but he has starred in mostly awful films except for Fast 5 which is a masterpiece
Arnold made Conan the Barbarian and went on a 15 movie hot streak before he had a dud in Jingle All The Way.
But yeah, he has great charisma and screen presence.
