By Yurtlicious Go To Postone of my all time favs! We had it good back then…I adore those dumb movies.
By Dipro Go To PostFury Road is one of those movies where i can't respect anyone who didn't like it.I'm the same but with people who hype it to death.
Wanna fight 😂😂
I can understand not liking Fury Road but the movie is a technical marvel in terms large scale action set pieces, incredible visuals and telling a story by showing it and not exposing everything through dialogue.
but fr, I'm always against showing a backstory for villains. Let me be scared
let me not know what makes them tick. It's why Heath's Joker was so effective

Fury road is absolutely overrated. If it’s in your top 10 for 2015 you probably go to the theatre to watch marvel movies.
Speaking of which, you know that completely hollow, corporate-approved women empowerment scene in Endgame? Fury Road is how you do that and not make the audience projectile vomit
It's a pretty good movie (Mad Max) unlike many other women driven movies, and I say that in a depressed mood not a gloating or misogynist one. They drop the ball on many of them.

By JesalR Go To Postyou do know that it's not critics that vote for the oscars right?
Fuck the critics
Yeah but have you seen the absolute trash that was nominated in 2012? Unless you're one of those nutters that liked Tree of life

But yes, it was also extremely well reviewed by critics

mods
I notice that no one disputed my point, arguing that plenty of people like Tree of life and not just nutters.
No, it was straight away just "Oh, you must mean bud the nutter"

By bud Go To Postone of the most garbage movies to ever win an oscar.
will never watch it.
Wow. Some of the worst takes I've ever heard about movies. I mean, the Oscar winner list of the last 20 years is full of mediocre movies but you managed to pick one that is actually unique, charming and a good time.

Ugh. Go watch another Marvel, Star War.
the scene at 19:15 with the toddler and the baby is so pure, and, well, real.
the sense of wonder in his eyes is magical.
one of my favorite shots. it's slightly ruined in the video because it seems chopped.

i should do a rewatch. it's been too long.
a hidden life was good, but malick will never reach the heights he reached here. what a film to peak with, though.
thank you, mister malick.

will need to see it again. might like it more the second time around.

I felt the same way about KoC on my first watch
I have now re-watched it like 6-7 times.
Never finished To The Wonder.

I didn't like ttol at all but I appreciated his craftsmanship. An auteur like no other
to compare it to the artist though lol a below average flick wrapped around a decent idea
